"Ash, surprised to see you hear. Although, a true Cobra always finds its way back home." A deep, cold vice echoes through the dojo.
"This place almost had me kill someone." I respond to him while turning to face him.
"This place made you strong. It made you into what you've become. Someone who can withstand anything without being phased." He says in return.
"This place is your home Ash." He follows up,
"Listen Sensei Kreese, Cobra Kai...is part of the reason I'm in so much trouble, it caused Aisha to leave, Tory to get expelled, Miguel to be in the hospital.."
"You're putting all the blame on the one place that taught these kids to actually stand up for themselves. Imagine if they didn't have the confidence they do now. Sitting ducks." He says while getting ready to light a cigar
"Look my child, I've seen you. I've observed your body language, your fighting, you're a fighter inside and out. That is rare to come by. Whatever your problems are, I will help you take care of them. Including your restitution." He says taking his first cigar puff.
"I don't need your charity." I say getting ready to walk out the door.
"A true home where people don't have to be perfect all the time isn't charity." He bellows. "Just think about it Ash. I can make you indestructible."
I gave him a nod and head out of the dojo with a long sigh, and a blank stare. I mean, part of me tells me he's right. But then my morals tell me otherwise. I have some time..to do quite a bit of thinking.

It's been days. I've been in this detention center for days, I've gotten my ace busted in multiple times by this one asshole. I can't believe Mr. Larusso sold me out. I truly trusted him.
The table beside me rattles.
The same guys who mess with me are messing with someone else, but I learned my lesson last time not to intervene...but before I can even think about someone steps in.
He's a lightskin, with short dreads are some tattoos on his arms. He's seems to be about the same age, maybe a little older than me..I thought I had met everyone here whether I liked it or not.
"HEY! Take your bitch ass outta here Payne. You know this ain't your place to be." He says to him.
"Ayo I know man, I was just tryna have some fun..sorry Xan." Payne cowers as he talks.
Who the hell is Xan? This dude stood up to who I thought was the toughest idiotic guy in here, and he backed down like he was like Godzilla or something...what the...
*lil time skip*
It's been a few days, I'm trying to email...Sam of all people, on the detention center computer. Yes yes I know idiotic move but...it's whatever, as soon I'm about the click send Payne unplugs the power cord to the computer.
"Dude can you just not?"
"Messaging your little girlfriend? Yeah I saw her on the news talking about the car wash fir the mexico boy, wonder if she might want a taste of dark chocolate next" he canters
I rush up to him and almost take a swing before my hand is stopped out, and he's shoved back.
It's the same dude from the other day, and he just gives Payne this..look, and he runs away like a little kid,
"Keene right? Robby?" The tall guys asks me.
"Yeah..that's right." I say in confusion
"I'm Xander. But people here call me Xan. I run shit here, I want what's best for all of us here, and I'm on the schedule to be the last one out of the center at least, and all I wanna do is point people in the right direction." He answers genuinely
"Wow that's..really...uh," I utter at a loss for words
"Shut up. I may be a decent person, but I'm still from the south side of Atlanta. Lemme remind you I run shit boy." He says cocking an eyebrow at me as the officers come to collect us
"So, assault right?" He asks me about my charge
"Was gonna be attempted murder and voluntary manslaughter but..yeah, just assault. Uh is it ok if I ask you?"
"Yeah man I'm used to it. Second degree murder, drug possession, possession of weapon, anddd driving without a license." He states ever so calmly. "The murder charge..it was a protection thing...over my uh....I guess you could consider her my little sister." He says as the bell rings for us to be in our bunks for lights out.
"Good talking with you Keene." He says blankly walking to his cell.
Yo did I just get in good with the "leader" of this prison?

It's been a few days. I've given quite some thought to what Sensei Kreese said. He's right, at least at Cobra Kai no one to pretended to be perfect. We were all broken loser kids, who were taught how insane life can be. Except, instead of being taught to ignore the shit it throws at you, we were taught to adapt to it, and evolve, use your pain, and anger, to strengthen you. Channel it, and it'll make you stronger.
Well.
I have my answer.
A/N: y'all I'm so sorry for the shorter update. This week has been a complete frenzy and everything has been so crazy. I hope you guys have a lovely week!!
