Dear Diary,
I didn't get to write in here last night. I was....a little occupied. This is actually the next morning. I have no words but at the same time, I have so many to describe everything that happened yesterday. I feel like skipping to the good part but I need to start from the beginning. It all started yesterday morning. Daryl, Rick, Oscar and Michonne still hadn't returned with Glenn and Maggie from Woodbury and I was praying and hoping that they were all okay and alive.

"Morning, Anita." Carol smiled as she walked into her cell.

"Morning, Carol. I heard what happened to you in the tombs. You doing okay?" She asked and Carol nodded.

"I'm fine. How's your leg?" Carol asked.

"It's feeling much better now." Anita explained. "Are they back yet?"

"No, not yet. But I'm sure they're all okay." Carol said. "I made breakfast. Do you want to come out of your cell or should I bring it to you?"

"Oh no. I'll be there in a second. Thanks, Carol." Anita smiled. Carol nodded and left the cell. Anita changed her clothes, brushed her hair and made her way out of her cell where she saw Carol sitting with Axel, one of the prisoners. Anita had met him yesterday. Beth was looking after the baby who had recently been named Judith by Carl. Hershel was having some breakfast and Carl was looking out of the gate. A group of survivors had stumbled inside of the prison and Hershel decided they should wait for Rick to get back before deciding what to do with them.

"How are you feeling?" Hershel asked Anita as she sat down near him and grabbed some breakfast.

"Much better. Thank you for fixing my leg." Anita said.

"That's what I'm here for." Hershel said.

As I talked to Hershel, I could see his eyes glimmer with fear and concern. After all, his daughter was basically kidnapped and taken hostage. I felt terrible for him and all I wanted to do was to make him feel better.

"Hey, Glenn and Maggie are going to be absolutely fine." Anita said softly and Hershel sighed.

"I wish I could do something instead of sitting here and doing nothing." Hershel said.

"You're not doing nothing, Hershel." Anita said. "You patched up those survivors. You're looking after all of us. We'd all be dead without you. And if you hadn't allowed us to stay at your farm, we could have lost a lot more people than we already have. We most likely would have lost Carl. Trust me, you've done a lot for us."

Hershel smiled softly at Anita. "Thank you, Anita." Anita smiled back at him before inviting Carl over to eat breakfast with them.

Carl still seemed very upset and I knew why. I was told by Carol about what happened to Lori and how Carl had to put her down. I feel terrible for the poor kid. No child should ever have to put down their own parent. I can't imagine having to put my family down, especially in the state I was in back then.

"Carl, guess what I found over the winter?" Anita asked him once they had finished eating.

"What?" Carl asked.

"This." Anita said, pulling out a small battery operated music player, making Carl's eyes light up a little.

"Does that work?" He asked.

"Yep, took me two whole weeks just to find the right batteries that fit but it works. What do you say? May I have the honour of dancing with you?" Anita asked, making Carl giggle.

"I thought the guy is meant to ask that." Carl said with a small smile.

"Well, you never asked me." Anita teased.

"Okay. May I have the honour of dancing with you?" Carl asked, making Anita smile.

"Yes, yes you may." Anita said, acting like a posh lady as Carl giggled. Anita pressed play on the music player and some old country music began playing.

Carl smiled wide and danced with Anita. She didn't mind as long as Carl was happy. Her leg didn't hurt so much either so why not have some fun? For some reason, Anita and Carl were preparing to twirl him. They weren't exactly dancing to a routine. They were just messing around. The gate opened and Rick walked inside with the group as Anita twirled Carl along with the music, making him laugh out loud. Rick was rather shocked to see his son laughing for the first time since his mother's death.

Anita noticed Rick was back and turned the music off. "That was fun." Carl said to Anita.

"Save me another dance?" Anita asked and Carl nodded happily before walking away.

"You...you made him laugh." Rick said to Anita, still a little shocked.

"He looked like he needed cheering up." Anita said.

"Thank you, Anita. Really. I was worried about him." Rick said.

"No problem. I love Carl. I'd do anything to see him smile." Anita said.

"You'd make a great mother one day." Rick said, making Anita blush a little.

"I doubt it but thanks." She smiled before looking over his shoulder and seeing Glenn, Maggie and Michonne.

"You're here." Maggie said, going over to Anita and hugging her.

"Thank God you guys are alive." Anita said as she pulled away from Maggie and hugged Glenn. "I saw you guys get taken. I'm sorry. I would have tried to stop this Merle guy but my leg was messed up and-"

"Hey, it's okay. You led Rick to us. And we're glad to see you alive." Glenn said. He had bruises all over his face.

"Are you okay? What the hell did they do to you?" Anita asked.

"Merle tortured me. Tied me to a chair and threw a walker in the room." Glenn said, making Anita gasp.

"Oh my God. Are you okay?" She asked in concern.

"I'm fine. I managed to kill it but barely." Glenn said.

"The man is crazy, Anita. The Governor had his undead daughter in his apartment and a fish tank full of human and walker heads." Michonne said, making Anita's face scrunch up in disgust.

"We started a war with them last night. They're going to be coming for us." Rick said.

Anita looked around and couldn't see Daryl anywhere. She started to get a really bad feeling. "Rick, where's Daryl?" Anita asked and Rick sighed.

"About that....." Rick trailed off.

" Rick trailed off
