Cosette was 16 the first time she spent the night at the burrow. It was after her terribly awkward conversation with Arthur when he told her that he and Molly would rather her be safe in their home as opposed to using floo powder or the knight bus to get home in the middle of the night.

She had spent the night with Fred before, but that was at Hogwarts and she had to wait until all of the girls in her room fell asleep before she could sneak into his dorm. Even then, she'd try to leave in the morning before any of Fred's dorm mates woke up.

Cosette had spent nearly all day with Fred's family and a few hours after dinner when Ginny got up from the couch to say she was going to bed, she turned to Cosette and said goodbye.

"Oh," Cosette felt her cheeks heat up, "I'm spending the night Gin, I'll see you in the morning."

Ginny's face lit up, "You are?"

She could feel multiple sets of eyes on her and Fred, but he didn't seem to notice anything. They were sitting on the floor with their backs against the couch and Cosette actively tried to avoid eye contact with everyone.

"Is that allowed?" Percy asked his parents and Fred snorted in response.

"Yes, it's allowed," Molly answered with a sigh. "Cosette is always welcome here."

"Perc, you can invite your girlfriend- oh wait," Fred cut himself off right as George sat up on the couch, ready to finish that thought.

"That's right," George pointed at their older brother, "You don't have a girlfriend."

"Oh piss off," Percy furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't see you bringing any girls home either."

George rolled his eyes, not being able to think of a fast enough comeback and Fred continued to laugh at them. Cosette rolled her eyes at the siblings as she tried to stifle a yawn, but Fred noticed it, pulling her closer to him as he kissed the top of her head.

"Don't tell me you're ready for bed too?" He asked her quietly.

"And what if I am?" She teased, but then became distracted as Percy made another comment about her spending the night. Cosette looked up at Fred with worried eyes, "Are you sure it's okay that I sleep in your bed? I don't mind sleeping on the couch or-"

"Setty it's okay," Fred assured her with a chuckle. It was adorable to him how nervous she was. Cosette spent more time at the burrow than at her own house but now that she was actually spending the night for once, she was worried about crossing any lines. "Plus, I would never make you sleep on the couch. If anything, you'd have my bed and I'd be out here."

"I love you," she smiled at him, fighting the urge to kiss him in the middle of the living room. Even though no one was really paying them any attention, she still didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

"I love you," he repeated back before pushing himself off the floor to stand up. Cosette did the same but she avoided meeting anyones stares as Fred said goodnight. She wasn't usually shy in front of his family but she also didn't want to hear any more cracks about her spending the night. Cosette was already unsure if it was a good idea so if one more of his siblings verbally expressed they were against it, she'd go home in a second.

With her fingers interlocked with his, Fred led her up the first flight of stairs and pushed open the door to the room he shared with George. Cosette immediately went over to his bed and laid down over the covers as Fred walked towards the dresser across from the beds. She watched as he unzipped his pants and slid them off.
