Hello, it's me again! I'm back, kinda, with a different kind of one shot! I recently watched the Witcher on netflix and am reading the books, so, here you guys go!

~(Y/N)'s POV~

I sigh, tending to the bar as it bustled with tavern-goers. It was a busier than normal day with people coming and going, but one particular person caught my eye. His long, white hair flowing behind him while his amber eyes darted across the room. I notice the amulet hanging around his neck, a witcher. He sits down at a table in the corner, his eyes still surveying the room. I walk over to him with a pitcher of ale and a tankard. I set the tankard down on the table, filling it with ale.

"White hair, amber eyes... I know who you are. Geralt of Rivia." I say, sliding the tankard over to him.

"Hmm." He hums, grabbing the tankard and taking a swig of the ale.

"They're on the house... so long as you slay the beasts that've been terrorizing the village." I say.

"And you'll drink free here for the rest of your or my life." I add, gesturing with the pitcher.

"What kind of beasts are there?" He grumbles.

"A pack of ghouls. They've been killing off our livestock and occasionally the farmers that tend them." I say with a slight shrug, eyeing the witcher who chugged the remainder of the ale. I pour him some more and watch as he drinks it.

"I'll be expecting some other form of payment."

"I'll pay you a thousand coin." I say, holding out a pouch.

"Consider it done." He says, leaning forward on his forearms as he drank his ale.

"I'll collect my payment after I finish the job." He says, pushing the pouch of coins away from his face.

"If you insist. The last witcher took the coins and left." I say, shrugging and pocketing the coin. Geralt stands and shoulders the bag with his swords in it.

"I'll be back by sunrise." He grunts out, a sigh leaving his lips as he leaves the tavern. I raise a brow but shrug it off, walking back to the bar.

After the tavern closed down, I was staying behind to close up when the doors slammed open, revealing a wounded witcher, a bite on his upper right arm and lower left leg. I rushed over to him, propping him up on my shoulder while I helped him over to the nearest table. He limips next to me, flopping down in the chair.

"I thought you said sunrise." I say jokingly, walking behind the bar to grab my most potent alcohol. The witcher lets out a wry laugh, grunting softly when the pain jolts through his body.

"I made an estimate, it was a little off." Geralt grunts, hissing when I poured the alcohol over the wounds.

"It's gonna take a lot more than alcohol to cure this wound." He says with a sigh, letting his head lay back against the chair.

"I know. I'm just cleaning them." I say.

"I've got to cleanse the wounds before I can heal them." Geralt did a double take at my words.

"Heal? But you're just a barmaid." He says, in disbelief.

"I'm not a traditional, fighter mage. Not one for standing by a king who will fuck a whore's brain out while his country starves. I decided to leave the order and tuck myself away in a little corner of the world." I say, bustling around as I gathered the necessary herbs.

"You're a healer." He says gruffly, watching me flit about.

"Yes." I say simply, grinding up the dried and fresh herbs with a mortar and pestle. I splash some fresh spring water into the mix, effectively making a paste. I grab the mortar and start chanting in Elder while I walk over to Geralt, spreading the paste on his wounds while I finish my chant, ripping a piece of my skirt and tying it around his leg, carefully bandaging the one on his arm with another scrap.

"With your witcher healing you should be back to normal by this time tomorrow." I say softly, standing up and brushing off my dress.

"Thank you, uh..."

"(Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N)." I interject.

"Thank you Ms. (L/N)."

"Just (Y/N) is fine." I say, smiling softly. Geralt nods and stands with a grunt.

"Where are you going good sir?" I ask firmly.

"To my campsite. Not far from here."

"Stay here. At my place." I offer, looking into his eyes.

"I don't want to impose."

"It's the least I can do. Can't have you getting those wounds infected by laying on the ground, now can we?" I say softly, walking out of the tavern, motioning for him to follow. I wave a hand and all the lights went out, the door locking behind us.

"This way." I say, leading the way to my home. Geralt follows, limping slightly. I arrive at my home and open the door, letting Geralt in and shutting the door behind us. I wave a hand and the door locks, the lamps all flickering to life. Geralt glances around, his eyes narrowed.

"Not like other mages you say?" He says skeptically.

"I only use my magic for personal reasons."

"Healing me? That's a personal reason?"

"You could prove some use in the future." I say, a slight joking tone in my voice.

"Mhh." He grunts, flopping down in the chair. I gesture in the air and hum, waiting for the kettle to come to a boil. I piece together some herbs in a teabag and turn to face the kettle, hearing it whistle.

"I've put together a special tea bag for you." I say, steeping the teabag in the hot water. I walk over to Geralt and hand him the tea.

"I'm not one for tea."

"Drink it. It'll help you heal." I insist, tipping the cup up to his lips. He reluctantly sips the beverage and hums softly at the taste.

"It's good." He says, taking the cup out of my hands. I watched as he downed the beverage, handing me the cup again.

"Thanks." He says, I nod and set the cup in by the tub to be washed.

"Now, my bed is all yours. Take all the time you need to rest up and heal well."

"I will, thank you." He says, standing up and walking to the direction I pointed for my bedroom. I hum softly, grabbing my bedroll and laying down on it, I flick my wrist and all the lamps go out, leaving the cabin in complete darkness.

"Goodnight witcher." I whisper, starting to doze off.

"Goodnight, witch." He grunts. I chuckle softly, stupid witcher hearing.
