~Geralt's POV~

I was laying in bed, texting Yennefer when (Y/N) walked into the apartment. We had started living together since her lease was up and it's been great, except Yen has been texting me all the time, trying to tempt me away from my soulmate. And I have to admit, it's working a little.

"Ger, I brought home a little something to brighten up the place!" says (Y/N), holding upa bouquet of flowers in every color of the rainbow. I smile, sitting up and setting my phone on the bed face down. She looks at it.

"Who were you talking to?"

"Just Jaskier about singing at our wedding. Can't let you know what songs he's gonna sing, can I?" I lied.

"I guess not." She says, smiling as she sets the bouquet in a vase, putting some water in it as well. She sighs softly, sitting down on the bed next to me and laying her head on my shoulder.

"I can't believe we're only a few months away from our wedding... it feels like I just met you."

"It's been almost a year since our first date." I say, kissing her forehead. My phone buzzed, only for me to push it to the side.

"Jaskier again?"

"Yeah. You know how he is."

"Unfortunately I do." She jokes, sitting up.

"Well, I'm gonna go run out and get us some dinner. What do you feel like having?"

"I wouldn't mind some rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy."

"Okay. I'll just hit Walmart or something and pick up a rotisserie chicken and some potatoes."

"Okay. I love you." I say. She smiles, kissing me gently.

"I love you too." She says, leaving the room, then eventually the apartment. I pick up my phone, seeing a message from Yen.

'Wanna come over tomorrow? I know your little flower girl works almost every day. And you can always cancel your appointments.' read the message.

'I can't. We're actually going cake tasting tomorrow.'

'Reschedule.'

'On such short notice? She'll figure out what's going on quicker that way.'

'Dammit. Why're you going through with the wedding anyways? If you really loved her, you wouldn't be trying to do this with me.'

'I'm going through with it because I do love her, you're just a... snake in our garden... a flaming hot snake... but still.'

'I'm your snake, Geralt.'

'My snake... gods Yen.'

'You know you love me.' She sends with a little winky face.

'Only a little.' I replied, hmm'ing. I closed out of our messages, opening my game and playing it until (Y/N) got back.

She walked into the room.

"I've got the potatoes boiling, I left some of the skins on if that's okay."

"That's fine. It's how I like them anyways." I say, smiling.

"Okay. Well, they'll be a little bit." She says, sitting down on the bed next to me.

"Did you get it all figured out with Jask?"
