Starting Over (18+)

This is basically a rant/vent oneshot. My life has been going pretty shitty lately so I wanted to write about it. Some aspects are changed, but its pretty much almost the same. Anyways, I hope y'all like it!

~Keigo's POV~

I hum, sitting down at my laptop to call my baby bird. She lives in America and I'm planning on taking her away from there soon, after our two year anniversary.

I open my laptop and pull up my secure video call app. I find my baby bird's contact and click on it, hitting the call button. After about seven rings, she picked up, her (H/C) (H/L) hair tousled and her (S/T) cheeks flushed while she breathed heavily.

"Hey baby bird!" I say, smiling and waving at her. She sits down at her desk and waves back at me, trying to fix her appearance.

"How's life baby bird?" I ask softly.

"It's absolute shit right now. My sister keeps blaming me for what she doesn't do and my parents are both unavailable to actually discipline her. She gets away with so much..." She trails off, sniffling.

"Oh baby bird. You know i would do anything to not see you like this. I have a present I think you'll like."

"Oh?" She asked softly, looking at me while she wiped her eyes.

"I'm going to move you to Japan." I say, smiling softly.

"R-really?" She asks.

"I just got the okay from your parents. I wanted to save it as a surprise for our anniversary but you look like you needed that." I say, smiling softly as I flapped my wings a bit.

"I did. Thank you. Today has been rough but that made it all worth it." She says, crying softly. I frown and touch the screen, wishing I could touch her gorgeous cheeks. She leans into my 'touch' sniffling softly.

"I'll start packing tomorrow."

"Okay love. I'll be flying you over here myself. But I have a cargo flight booked for your stuff." I say.

"Thank you Keigo... I am afraid of heights though. You remember that?" She asks. I nod.

"Of course. That's why I'm going to be taking extra precautions. No need to worry." I say, smiling softly. She smiles back, leaning back in her chair.

"So, anything you'd like to talk about? Anything you need to get off your chest?" I ask softly.

"Well, today my sister decided to leave to our aunt's house and she left us to take care of her geckos. Once again... she has no regard for them, just leaves them for everyone else to take care of. It's starting to piss me off."

"Oh, I'm sorry love." I whisper.

"Only a month until I move you here so just bear with it until then." I say softly, smiling at her. She nods, standing up and walking around her room.

"Can I take my anime posters?"

"You can take anything you want baby bird." I say, smiling. She smiles and picks up the body pillow I got her last Christmas, it had me on it, of course, just to keep her company. I smile, making the feather I gave her float up and tickles her nose.

"This'll be like that one time you visited but switched and for longer." She says, gently touching the feather and stroking it along the middle, placing a kiss towards the base. I blush, a small shudder running through my body. She smirks a bit and sits back down, hugging the body pillow tightly. I smile softly and watch her cuddle into the pillow, her face buried in the soft material.
