Miles sighed and leaned back on his elbows.
"Can we take a break?" He pleaded.I dropped the pencil and rubbed my leg.
"I guess.. What do you wanna do?""Are you up for some truth or dare?" He asked.
"I guess. You start."
He sat up and repositioned himself.
"Alright. Truth or dare?""Ah, truth." I replied, not yet having my full attention away from the project.
"Are you a virgin?"
His question was enough to break my attention from the project and put it fully into the game. I answered.
"Um yeah, why?""Because you're really uptight."
He smirked his way into reasoning."I am not!"
"Okay, sure."
He raised his hands in the air."Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
I knew what I'd wanted his truth to be, I just didn't know how to approach it. He sat there waiting for me to speak.
"I saw you in the hallway this morning. You were making out with a girl, then you slapped her. Why?"
Thanks to me, the playfulness in the conversation had quickly fallen."So, you were stalking me?" Miles questioned, trying to restore some of the energy from just seconds prior.
"No I wasn't stalking you! I just happened to see!"
I inform him, thankful that nothing too bad had come out of my question."Whatever you say! I kissed her because she was asking for it. I slapped her because she asked a stupid question."
He answered, trying not to make things awkward."What did she ask you.?"
I tried to approach carefully, it had followed by a silent gulp.He stared at me. "You don't get two questions. Wait your turn. Now, truth or dare?" He moved the project off of the bed and onto the floor. I watched him nervously as he scooted a couple inches closer to me.
"Truth I guess."
"Do you like being in control?" He asked me, quickly changing the tone of the entire conversation.
"I don't have a lot already. So, no. Yes? I don't know.."
I readjusted myself, developing an uncomfortable feeling. There was a different mood set in the room. I couldn't place my finger on what it was, but it was definitely there.I watched as he stared at me and clenched his fists.
I tried to avoid eye contact when it was my turn to ask him,
"Truth or dare?"He chose truth.
"What question did she ask you.?"
My voice was just above a whisper. I gave it a shot, simply because I had waited my turn. I hadn't expected him to give me an actual answer.
