(!possible tw: violence!)

-

After third period ended I headed to the lockers to meet up with Sadie and Millie.

"Hey again!" Millie exclaimed once all three of us were together.

"Hey." I replied smiling.

"Hurry up, I'm hungry!"
Sadie pleaded, her stomach growling on cue.

We walked into the cafeteria and sat down at our usual lunch table. We began chatting up ideas for after school that day. I'd completely forgotten about my detention.

"We could go to the movies?" Millie suggested.

Sadie pointed out that, "Jayde and Vinnie go there all the time, we'd probably run into them" Instead, she suggested a spa.

Millie beamed.
"That sounds nice."

"Why can't we just have a girls night? We used to do those all the time. It would be so fun."
I tried my best to push my idea forward.

"I think that sounds like a great idea!"

Millie gasped and clapped her hands, clearly in agreement for the girls night.

"Okay, so now we just need to settle whose place it's gonna be at. I would volunteer but Jayde and Vinnie are also there all the time."
I rested my chin in my hand.

Sadie offered it to be hosted at her house and we all came to an agreement.

"And Vada could join us if she wants."

"Heck yes, I'll be there."
It had been long overdue that we'd just spent a night at someone's house. Quality time spent between the three of us. We always had to go out and do something. Which don't get me wrong, is fun, but sometimes, especially in a cozy friendship like ours, it was just nice to relax and talk every once in a while. Miles walked up and casually took a seat next to me. Millie, Sadie and I all exchanged a look, questioning his presence.

"Can I help you?"

"You're not going. Not tonight."
He stated.

"Uh, sorry? Why the hell not?"
How could I have described the emotions that had been running through? Frustrated. Confused. Those could work.

"Because we have plans. You and I."
He grabbed my untouched apple and took a bite out of it. Which I'd reached for at the same, wanting to have eaten it.
"And what would those plans be? Last I checked, my schedule was open."

"That's not a surprise."
He mumbled loud enough for me to hear.

I glared at him and he slammed the apple back down on my tray. He grabbed my wrist hard, causing me to jump from the unexpected wave of pain. I elbowed him in the side of his stomach, trying not to make a scene but that only made him grab my wrist harder. He dragged me away from the table and out of the cafeteria, not letting go all of the while. He led me into an empty classroom and finally released his hold of my wrist.
