The sun shown brightly in the sky , the grass swayed to the gentle breeze and soft song of the birds.

What a good day .

"Sooooooo naruto-kun_"

Aannnnd it's ruined.

Naruto sighed in frustration. Meeting his team after the little BBQ event was as awkward as it is . he didn't need more problems .

But it appears that everyone was curious as ever.

He glared at his sensei, who asked the question oh so innocently .

"What..?"
'Play it dumb , and they'll leave you alone' he told himself.

'Hmmmmm I don't think so'

Sakura stepped in. And naruto internally cringed .
Oh no...
Here it comes-
"NARUTO YOU BAKA !!" She screamed , her fist up and ready to strike.
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU ESCAPE YESTERDAY , YOU DIDN'T EVEN PAY-" oh ...didn't he?
Naruto flinched , oops he forgot.

"S-sakura-chan calm down" he tried to calm her but the pinkette only advanced , ready to deliver a deadly blow.
'Well...I'm dead'
'Dodge' kurama growled venomously , taking naruto by surprise.
'Wait- what's_'
'I said Dodge it, don't let that good for nothing mortal lay a finger on you'

And so naruto did , obeying his mate's orders he dodged the attack of his angry teammate. Normally he would just take it.

"Oi did you just- ...DID YOU JUST DODGE !?"
Sakura was up in flames at this point.
Naruto sweat dropped.

"Now now , sakura settle down" FINALLY an adult decided to speak. Naruto turned to stare at Kakashi.

The copy nin gave them an eye smile , although naruto felt suddenly uncomfortable.

That smile felt...wary.

Sakura didn't seem to notice. but she stopped and scoffed.

"Naruto-kun , you didn't tell anybody you're dating someone"

That question was...

Naruto gulped, he didn't like that tone .

'How weird'

'Kurama ? Is it just me or does he sound-'

'Wary ? Yes , yes he does'

naruto couldn't help but twitch at the amusement in kurama's voice.

"You didn't need to hide that you're dating someone. we are a team, you should be able to trust us."

"Eh..um sorry?" naruto smiled awkwardly.
He just needed to get out of this .
"I just didn't think it will be THAT important"

'Kurama?'

Naruto frowned at the silence.

Kakashi watched him silently.

Now don't get him wrong, he's glad naruto found somebody . what's worrying him is WHO this person is.

For all he knows , they could be somebody trying to get to the seal holding the ninetails.

Or a spy , or a member of root.

Naruto was naïve. He was starved for love and affection, two words and a smile and he will be swayed.

Kakashi feared the worst .

He needed to know.

He needed to know who this person is.

Naruto smiled and avoided questions from sakura.

He was being too secretive about this person.

Kakashi frowned .

'Why?'

From the sidelines , sai watched them silently .

'Danzo-sama would be interested in hearing this'
