I can't believe I let Miss Sorenson get kidnapped. I should have stopped him. Maybe my father was right, I am a useless sack of shit. I shouldn't be in this position to help anybody else. I can't even protect the girl I love. I should be dropped from the Academy. I let my face fall to my hands. I don't know what else to do. We've followed every lead we've received. We are all at the max favor debt of negative thirty. We have asked every team in Charleston to help. If she isn't alive I won't be. A life without Sang is not a life worth living. If she is gone then I will be wearing a necklace of rope. I don't deserve to live.
