Chapter Twenty-Nine

Akiexhia's P.o.V.

"Who the hell is Trina?" I mumbled nang maalala ko na naman kung sinong "pinuntahan" kuno ni Steven.

"Trina daw pangalan?" Chelsea asked me.

"Oo daw. Pedia daw ni Krishna" I answered. I don't know how I would react when he told me that. Dapat ba akong maniwala o hindi?

If pedia lang pala ni Krishna 'yon why bother lying no'ng una ko siyang tinanong and he first told me sa kompanya siya galing.

"Something's not right. Steven is definitely hiding something from me" I said. Before it was just a hunch but now I am more than sure he is hiding something. Something that seems so important that he has the confidence to blatantly lie on my face.

"You're rich bakit di mo pasundan?" Ara said that made me raise my eyebrow.

"Absolutely not gonna do that" I said. She just laughed at me then turned to Chelsea.

"Bininigyan ng magandang advice ayaw naman, 'yang kaibigan mo talaga" Ara joked but Chelsea didn't budged. Eto na naman siya.

"Akiexhia anong tawag ni Steven kay Krishna?" She suddenly asked. Wait, what is happening? Anong connect sa usapan namin?

"Ha?"

"Does Steven call her baby?"

I just looked at her, weirded out of her sudden questions. What is she thinking?

"Maybe?" I answered, she just nodded slowly at me then went back to being silent again.

"Why did you asked?"

"Nothing, just came to my mind out of the blue" It's definitely didn't came to her mind out of the blue, I am pretty sure of that. Chelsea, you're lying.

"So anong plano mo ngayon Akiexhia?" I shifted my gaze from Chels to Ara when she asked me a question.

"Wait until Steven tells me the truth?" Alanganin kong sagot kasi hindi ko din naman talaga alam kung anong gagawin ko. If I ask Ash if he knows something, wait, he did told me na may alam siya tungkol kay Steven, could it be the same thing? Ang kaso, if I continue to approach him Steven might grow more suspicious of us mas malaking problema 'yon kapag nagkataon.

"Sino na naman 'yan?" Ara said, complaining of the sudden rang of our doorbell early in the morning. She lazily stood up and opened the door.

Napairap na lang ako nang makita ko kung sino ang kasama niyang pumasok sa dining room. Why does he keeps appearing every time I am not in the mood?

"Nandito ka na naman?" Chelsea said to Ash who just shrugged and sat in front of me.

"Magka-away kayo ano?" He said to me with a sly grin. I swear I'm gonna rip that smile of his kapag hindi siya tumigil kakaasar sa akin.

"How did you know? Chismoso ka na pala ngayon" I said without looking him and just piercing my bacon.

"I just know na mag-aaway kayo after you found out that he's lying"

"Can I ask you something?" I seriously said to him.

"There's no such thing as free lunch, Akiexhia" Napairap na lang ako sa sinabi niya. Mukha ba akong restaurant na laging open para pakainin siya? Ano ako nanay niya?

Tamad na tamad akong tumayo at ipinaghain siya ng pagkain.

"Now answer me Ash. Did Steven went to the same place no'ng umaga at hapon?"

I just realized it last night when Steven left. I was too fixated on the fact that he's meeting someone behind my back that I missed one important thing, the place that he went to.

"Ha? Anong connect no'n?" Ara asked me.

"Steven lied about going to Krishna yesterday morning and it turns out galing siya sa village nila Ash. He went there for someone then no'ng hapon he obviously went for someone again but I didn't know where. I shouldn't look for the person I should look for the place he has been going to again and again because that is where all the answers lie"

But another question is, anong meron sa taong 'yon that Steven has to go twice there in the same day?

"Actually kulang Akiexhia, he went to the exact same place kahapon ng umaga, hapon, at ngayong umaga" Ash said that made me stood up from my seat.

"What? Ash kapag ako pinagloloko mo I swear sa kangkungan ka pupulutin!" I said to him but he just shook his head.

"You can go there Akiexhia, kung matapang ka talaga" I looked at him intently when he said that.

Ano bang gagawin ko? This is so frustrating! I can easily go to that place but I can't. I will be risking my own self if I do that.

"Siguro naman you can get a hold of the list of your residents diba? Your family owns that place" I said to him but he just shook his head.

"Na kay Gray, gusto mong hingin ko sa kanya?" He said, I can only grit my teeth when I saw him smirk. Screw him, alam niyang ipit na ipit na ako sa sitwasyon ko kaya ang lakas ng loob niya.

"Bahala ka nga diyan!" I said to him then left.

I hate this feeling! Why did I even started this?

"Naiinis ka eh pareho lang naman kayong nagtatagu-taguan ng boyfriend mo"

"This is my room bakit pumapasok ka?" Bulyaw ko kay Ash nang makita kong nasa may pinto na siya.

"You're guilty and anxious, Akiexhia. Breathe, hindi ka lalo makakapag-isip niyan"

"Why can't you just tell me what you know about Steven?"

"Ayokong sa akin manggaling Akiexhia. I want you to hear it directly from him. But I am warning you, you better be prepared for that"

Steven's P.o.V.

"Galing ka ulit kay Kisses? Buti hindi naghihinala si Akiexhia sa'yo?"

Tiningnan ko lang si Angelo nang tanungin niya ako. We're currently inside the canteen talking about our next move regarding the matter about Krishna.

"Huwag mo na akong pakialaman sa bagay na 'yon. Si Krishna ang agenda nating dalawa"

"Ano na bang nangyari sa DNA niyo?"

"I still didn't contacted my former test center yet, I am planning to do that after the results of the second DNA came out. You too shouldn't contact your test center. If your hunch was right na may nag-tamper ng isa sa test natin they can't find out that we're double checking" he just nodded after my explanation.

"Nga pala kagabi mga mag-a-alas dose tumatawag ako. Naiwanan kasi ni Krishna 'yung vitamins niya, bakit pinagpatayan mo ako?" Napakunot naman ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. Hindi naman tumatawag 'tong mokong na 'to anong sinasabi niya?

"Tulog ka ba Angelo? Hindi ka tumatawag-sandali, mag-a-alas dose ka tumawag? No'ng mga oras na 'yon na kila Akiexhia ako then bago ako umuwi nalaman kong nagkapalit kami ni Chelsea ng cellphone. The entire time my phone was with her" I said as things last night started to make sense.

Those words.

"I hope you didn't looked at my messages, baka may sikreto kang mabasa"

May nabasa ba si Chelsea?
