Chapter Thirty-Four

Kisses' P.o.V.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked Steven just suddenly arrived about an hour after Angelo and Krishna came here carrrying Krishna's stuffs. Mula kanina hanggang ngayon wala pa ring nagsasalita sa kanila, pare-pareho lang kaming nakaupo habang si Krishna naglalaro sa kabilang side ng sala.

"Krishna can't live with me anymore"

"Anong kalokohan na naman 'to Angelo? I finally allowed Krishna to stay with you para mas makilala ka niya tapos basta mo na lang siyang ibabalik dito?" Nagtataka kong tiningnan si Angelo after he said those words. Ano bang pumasok sa utak ng lalaking 'to?

"Kisses you're wrong, we're both wrong. I am not her biological father, si Steven ang tatay ni Krishna" pakiramdam ko dumoble ang kunot sa noo ko dahil sa sinabi niya. I continued to stare at him waiting for him to elaborate his words more.

"We found out about it kanina lang. No'ng nasa ospital ka pa I heard you say something about how you first thought that Steven is Krishna's father. After that my guts never stopped telling me na baka totoo kaya I decided to run a test sa aming dalawa para matahimik na din ang isip ko. It came back negative"

Napakamot na lang ako sa kilay ko sa sobrang gulo ng mga sinasabi niya. I looked at him and he doesn't seem to be joking about this.

"Sandali, your test was negative and Steven's negative too. How did Steven became her father kung pareho kayong negative? Una pa lang alam nating ikaw ang tatay Angelo!" I keep on preventing my frustrations to win over me because of my baby pero ang gulo-gulo.

"Kisses, we had another test. Sabay kami ni Angelo. His test came back negative again and mine was positive"

Now Steven joined the conversation that added more confusion to me.

"So the first test was what? Faulty? What?" I asked them but they didn't answered.

"Angelo ano?"

"Steven what happened to that test of yours?"

"Kisses let's not talk about this anymore ma-s-stress ka lang" Steven said while massaging his temples.

"Mas lalo akong ma-s-stress kapag hindi ko nalaman kung anong nangyari. Steven this is about my daughter"

Nagkatinginan lang silang dalawa pagkatapos kong sabihin 'yon. After a few seconds umiling lang si Steven kay Angelo.

"Alam mo kung anong nangyari Steven so you will tell it to me or you will never hear the end of this"

"Kisses, promise me first that you won't do anything reckless" he said. I just nodded at him para sabihin na niya sa akin. He heaved a very deep breath before looking at me.

"The test was manipulated. Nabayaran 'yung nasa test center para ilagay na negative ang result" he said. I am still waiting for him to continue pero wala na siyang idinugtong. Something's missing.

"Who payed that person to manipulate the test? Sino Steven?" I asked him but he just shook his head.

"Para saan 'yang iling na 'yan? Steven are you trying to protect that person?"

"Kisses I am not protecting her, I am j-"

"Wait, her? Who the hell is that girl Steven? Sasabihin mo ba o ako mismo ang aalam kung sino siya?"

Steven grew more frustrated after hearing my words. Mukhang wala siyang balak sabihin kung sino 'yong babaeng 'yon.

"Angelo, sino? Tell me the truth, sino 'yong babaeng 'yon?"

"I think it's best to let Steven tell you who she is" Napairap na lang ako sa sagot niya.
