Chapter Thirty-Five

Steven's P.o.V.

I immediately ran to the parking lot after hearing from some students na nag-aaway si Kisses at Akiexhia. Hindi pa man ako tuluyang nakakarating sa parking lot nakita ko na si Kisses. I ran to her and stood in front of her.

She didn't looked at me, she just kept crying in front of me.

"What happened?" I asked her, trying to be as calm as possible but she just shook her head.

"Tara, let's not talk here" I lead her to my car where we can talk more privately. On our way there I saw Akiexhia with her friends. I unconsciously stopped walking and stared at her, that's when I noticed how red her cheeks are.

I immediately get in the car and faced Kisses.

"What happened?"

"Didn't I tell you na gaganti ako?" She answered. I can only look away from her to calm myself before talking to her again.

"Hindi ka ba nadadala? Saan ba nagsimula lahat ng gulong 'to? Hindi ba sa gantihan niyo ni Akiexhia? Para kayong mga bata! Pwede bang makinig ka naman" I said trying and hoping she will understand my point and will finally listen.

"You're just telling that to me kasi ayaw mo siyang masaktan. Well, I am not sorry to tell you pero nakailang sampal ako sa girlfriend mo"

Kaunting-kaunti na lang talaga ang pasensyang natitira sa akin at lalo pang sinasagad ni Kisses sa mga sinasabi niya.

"Yes I don't want you to hurt her kaya kita pinapalayo sa kanya but I am also protecting my child. I know how much you two hate each other and I don't want my child to be caught in the middle of your fight, again"

"Can you blame me? Inadrabyado niya ang anak ko! Idinamay niya si Krishna. Anong alam ng bata sa mga ginawa ko noon?"

"Hindi mo naman kasi ako iniintindi. Puro ka katwiran ang point ko dito ayoko nang maulit sa baby natin ang nangyari kay Krishna. Nadamay siya sa gantihan niyong dalawa and now do you want to repeat it again? Do you want the same thing to happen with our second child?" I said that made her shut up. She rolled her eyes on me but I was still able to see a tear fall from the corner of her eye. She turned her back on me and chose to face the window.

"I-uuwi na kita" I said after minutes of silence and started the engine.

"Won't you go to her?" She asked still not looking at me.

"I-uuwi na kita" I said just repeating what I said. As much as possible ayaw ko munang pag-usapan si Akiexhia, ayaw ko muna kasi sobra pa rin 'yong sakit.

She hurt my daughter. She betrayed me. She didn't trusted me. She didn't trusted my love for her. Dahil sa mga 'yon halos hindi na tumigil ang sakit na nararamdaman ko. Sa bawat minutong minamahal ko siya ay katumbas ng minu-minutong sakit sa puso ko.

Hindi ko alam kung nagkulang ba ako sa pagmamahal sa kanya kaya nagawa niya 'yon. Hindi ko ba siya nabigyan ng sapat na assurance kaya naisip niyang iiwan ko siya?

Hindi na ako hinintay ni Kisses na pagbuksan siya ng pinto at tuloy-tuloy lang papasok sa bahay. She's always like this whenever she knows she's wrong but is still mad kaya hindi niya aaminin na may mali na siyang ginawa. I followed her inside but when I remembered something dumaretso na ako sa kusina.

Carrying an ice pack I went to her room. I found her covered with blankets kaya kailangan ko na namang makipagpilitan sa kanya para sumunod.

"Kisses please, pagod na din ako sa pakikipagtalo kaya tumayo ka na diyan at akin na 'yang kamay mo" I said. She slowly peeked out from her blanket before sitting up.
