{Aspen's POV}

I get up from my bed and bring my rolley chair up to the corner. I step onto the chair and I finally realize what I'm looking at, or rather, what's looking at me.

No.

No no.

Absolutely not.

Abso-freaking-lutely not.

A freaking camera.

I carefully inspect it and see that it's wireless. I pluck it off of the wall and carefully get down from my chair. I pace around the room holding the camera in my hands mumbling nonsense to myself. Surely my brothers don't know I've found the spy device, otherwise they would have come to talk to me about it. They must just not be watching it right now. This leaves me with one question.

What the frick do I do now?

Option 1- I could confront them about it. They would give me a vague answer, deflecting any important details and beg for my forgiveness. It seems they would get off too easy for me.

Option 2- I make a huge scene, demand privacy and they reluctantly give me a slight bit more. They're only left with the regret of not hiding the camera better. Again, they would get off too easy.

Good thing we have option 3.

I run.

I think it combines options 1 and 2 nicely. It would make a scene and they would have to feel regret for their actions. Whether I would get answers or not is still up for debate but hey, we can only ask for so much with these brothers of mine.

I put my plan into action by placing the camera on the ground and crushing it with the heel of my foot. I pick up the crumbs and scatter them on my desk. I grab a blank piece of paper and a pen to scribble a note.

"Dear Brothers,

the lack of privacy is truly appalling. I'm going for a walk to clear my head and I think we could use the space. Please just give me this. I'll be back in a few hours and we can discuss matters further. See you soon.

Tolerate,

Aspen"

Satisfied with the note, I leave it amongst the crumbs of the broken camera. I pack a little bag with a chocolate bar Raini bought me, some loose cash I've found around the house (These boys are so rich they don't even notice when they lose $100, pretty freaking insane if you ask me), and period supplies since I'm not sure how long I'll be gone. I do plan on coming back later today, this little trip is to just clear my head.

When my mini luggage is all set, I go out onto the balcony and glance around. I make note of the positions of the guards who, luckily, are not focused on me. Using the distracted guards to my advantage, I toss my bag onto the ground and I climb onto the railing. Skillfully, I lower myself onto a ledge and from there, drop to the ground with a thud. Ignoring the tingling in my feet, I grab my bag and rush over to the garden to hide myself better.

It's at this moment I'm thankful for my insane hunting skills. I blend in with the shrubbery and quickly, but carefully make my way over to the forest. It surprises me Caspian would hire such incompetent guards who don't even notice a teenage girl escape. Granted, I have mad skills. I suppose you cant blame them too much, but if something bad ever were to happen, it makes me question whether they could keep us safe.

I can finally understand why Caspian would fire Ronan. I'm obviously not okay that he did, I just understand. I just wish he would have paid for better training or something. Ronan seemed like a cool dude. On the topic of my guards, I wonder where Rhys is. I thought he was supposed to be following me non stop. I suppose he could use better training as well.
