Anya arrived at school and tried to ignore everybody's disapproval looks. They were all hypocrites, how could they like somebody, and in an a blink of an eye unlike them? She was not ready to go back to playing their game, but she had to, so she looked around for her friends. She knew where Timothée's locker was, so she tried to take a completely different path to avoid seeing him. That would be awkward, and it'd make the butterflies in her stomach bite her insides until they'd bleed.
"Ollie..." she said when she reached her locker and saw one of her ex best friends.
"What do you want?" the boy asked.
"I wanna talk to you, Marie.. And Lauren.. I want to make things right and explain everything to you..."
"Why should we spend our precious time on someone who lies and treats their friend badly?" he questioned.
"For old times' sake.. I don't deserve the hate you three are giving me.. Just let me explain.."
"Fine, meet us at the cafeteria on the break." he exclaimed.
"Can we go somewhere else...?" she asked, she didn't want to be in the same room as the French boy, and there was a big possibility he'd be there.
"Nah... Meet us there or nowhere." the boy said and then walked away.

Anya hesitantly walked in the cafeteria, pretending everything is fine was harder than she thought it'd be. She spotted her friends at their usual table and made her way there.
"Hi.. Can I sit?" she asked quietly.
"Go ahead.." Lauren replied.
"Thanks... Look I have to apologize to you.. All of you.. I shouldn't have lied to you guys... But now I broke up with my fake boyfriend and everything can go back to normal..."
"Really? How come you two broke the deal?" Lauren asked.
"It's because... Because he kissed somebody else, and he was scared somebody would find out and the whole school would think I got cheated on once again.. That's what he said.."
"Oh honey... He probably enjoys his popularity, that's why he's kissing other girls... He wants to be 'single', so he can flirt with everybody.." her friend said. That actually made sense at that point. He was way more loved that Anya.
"I can't believe he made me do all of those things.. Join the band, join the theatrical team... It was probably to make me look like a traitor in everybody's eyes.." Anya looked down at her hands. He had played her and it hurt.
"Why does he look at you like that then?" Marie whispered and Anya looked around until her eyes met with his, and then quickly looked away. He didn't look pleased. But she was so close to getting her friends back, so she tried to ignore the fact he was some meters away from her.
"He just acts sad to win everyone's sympathy after the 'break up'.." Lauren shaked her head.
"Maybe you're right...." Anya rested her head on her hand.
"You know I am... But don't worry about it, you got rid of that manipulator.." Lauren spoke in a dramatic way. Anya said nothing.
"Aw we're happy you're back!!!" Ollie tried to change the subject and hugged the blonde girl, then they all got in a small group hug over the table.

The hours passed by and it was time for the theatrical team to meet at the auditorium. Timothée entered the room and looked around, hoping to see Anya there. She was nowhere to be found and it gave him a feeling of disappointment. He thought she liked being there, at least a tiny bit... But he was probably wrong. He was silly to believe she'd show up, she had made it clear the other day... She didn't like being there. Right?
"Hi!" Kiara said to everyone in the auditorium and stood about a meter away from the boy.
Mrs Barnes entered the auditorium and smiled at everyone, then she double checked the faces in front of her.
"We're missing someone! Where's Miss Davis?" the woman asked. Timothée looked at the ground and said nothing. Nobody could answer their teacher's question.
"Oh.. I see nobody knows where she is... She is probably feeling off-colour.. Let's hope we'll see her next time." the British woman smiled kindly at her students once again.
"Is Anya not here because of what happened yesterday?" Kiara whispered as she slowly moved closer to Timothée.
"No.." he quietly replied.
"How come you don't know where she is then..?" the girl asked, not wanting to sound too nosy, but still she was curious, cause the boy seemed kinda off.
"We broke up, okay? I don't wanna talk about it.." he said with a little bit of anger in his voice.
"Oh... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to upset you.. I'm sorry your relationship didn't work out.. I hope I'm not the reason why you two ended it..." the girl spoke while feeling remorse.
"It has nothing to do with you.. We had already broken up by the time that thing between us two happened.. And it was just a script thing after all, right?" the boy whispered.
"I mean.. Kind of... I'm not saying I'm not attracted to you.. But you were portraying Henry back when it happened... So..." Kiara teased him. He blushed but he still wasn't ready to smile big.
"We should hang out more often you know! We get along and have the same interests.." Kiara spoke once again.
"Yes maybe.. We could do that.." Timothée said. She was his crush since middle school after all, even though he had never admitted it to anyone but his best friend Nick.
But why wasn't he as happy as he thought he'd be when he could finally have his chance with her?"Okay! Timothée and Kiara I see you being talkative over there... So come up here.. Both of you! You'll play the first scene for us.." Mrs Barnes said before getting off the stage.
Kiara and Timothée looked at each other and then he let her go first on the stage, then followed behind her.
"Show us what you got!" Mrs Barnes sat on a seat across from the stage and focused on the two talented students.
