"Timothée what in the world happened to your eye?!" his mom asked him as soon as he stepped inside the house."It's seriously nothing... I just suck at basketball and had a small accident.." he fastly said and went up the stairs.
"Did the ball punch you? This is definitely the result of a punch... Timothée should I talk to the principal?" the woman shouted.
"Nooo... I'm perfectly fine... It's just a tiny bruise.." he shouted back as he opened the bathroom door.
"Oh, ow, fuck!" he whisper-yelled when he saw his swollen eye in the mirror."Let me see it... Put the ice pack on it..." soon enough his mother made it outside the door.
"Fine, just give me the ice pack.. I'm not a baby mom.. It'll be fine." he groaned and took the ice pack from her.
"Getting punched while playing basketball!? LAAAME... Getting punched for a girl!? COOLIOOO!" his mother shouted.
"Omg... Mom.. Don't say 'coolio'..." Timothée chuckled.
"Fine.. But what was the case?!" his mom asked in suspicion.
"Okay okay... I got punched because I defended somebody.." he groaned.
"A girl!?"
"Yes, a girl.."
"I knew it!!! That's my boy!" the woman shouted.
"For God's sake... It's the first time I see a mother being happy about her son getting punched.." he laughed.
"You defended a girl, and that means I did a good job raising you, so of course I'm happy!"
"Thanks, and by the way it doesn't hurt at all, thanks for asking.." Timothée ironically said.
"It'll get better in two or three days.. I hope you stay out of fights though. Timothée Hal Chalamet, I didn't raise you to be violent or a bully." his mother gave him a serious look.
"Mom.. I didn't even touch the guy.. I just got punched once.. I'm not a bully." he raised his hands in the air.
"Okay... I mean don't forget to stand up for yourself too.. But don't get in fights when it's not necessary."
"But it was this time.. It was."
"If you say so, I believe you! Who is the girl you defended?"
"Moooom.... I don't like talking about girls with you... It's weird." the boy hid his face.
"C'mon.. Was it your girlfriend.. Do you even have a girlfriend?" she questioned.
"Okay, okay.. I have a girlfriend.. Happy?"
"What's her name?!?"
"Uuufff... I won't tell you that.. You know enough for now. I'll just go to my room.. And well, Nick will come over in a couple of hours."
"Oh okay...... I hope he stays for dinner!"
"He probably will.." Timothée said as he got in his room and slowly closed the door behind him.

The doorbell echoed and soon enough Nicole, Timothée's mother, opened the door.
"Hello honey, how have you been? Long time no see you!" she smiled at her son's friend and let him in.
"Hi Timothée's mom! I've been doing well!" the boy chuckled and spotted Timothée standing on the top of the stairs.
"Ow dude... What happened to your eye!?!" he shouted.
