They danced to the rhythm of the music, Timothée wasn't a bad dancer himself. Most of the people at the party were interested in the school's newest couple, what they didn't know was that the couple was in fact fake.

Most of the girls were already impressed by Timothée's looks and good sense in style, and that made the boys upset. They didn't like the fact a random guy had come out of nowhere to suddenly be everybody's crush. Plus their girlfriends had now too many expectations of them, and they weren't exactly the type of guys who would treat their girls as if they were some fairytale princesses.

"So how long have you been going out with each other?" a nosy girl from their school asked.

"A couple of weeks! But we go way back, we met years ago in France!" Anya answered and looked at Timothée in awe.

"And how come you two met in France?" another girl approached them and asked. Anya nervously looked at Timothée, they hadn't talked about it at all, what was she supposed to say? Timothée gave her a reassuring look and she let him speak instead.

"You see I spend my summers in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, at the beautiful home of my paternal grandparents.. It's such a nice place, if you want to relax, and focus on something you love! I go there to write poetry, and write music.. One summer day I decided to go to Lyon with a friend of mine. We sat at a beautiful, picturesque café and some minutes later the door opened.. I looked up at the person who had just walked in and that's when I saw her, I liked her ever since!" Timothée smiled at Anya.

"Omg, that's so romantic!" another random girl stood across from them.

"Why did it take you all of this time to get together?" the first girl asked.

"Let me continue with the story ladies, you'll have no more questions soon. So, I looked at this beauty, and realized I had to know her name, I had to get her number. I walked up to the table she had just sat at and said 'Bonjour mademoiselle.' (Hello miss).. She looked up at me confused and I gave her a smile. She already had her adorable attitude back then, so she said 'Don't talk to me, unless you're a waiter.' and looked back at her magazine. I assured her I wasn't a waiter, but I would gladly help her pick a drink if she'd let me. Guess what happened next, she accepted my offer and once the drink I suggested her was brought to her table, she tasted it, then thanked me. That's how it all started. I found the confidence to ask more about her and when she told me it was her first time in Lyon, I offered to give her a tour, so we spent the entire day together, and then we decided to stay in touch. You see Anya had a boyfriend at that time, so I wasn't able to steal a kiss from her, but I knew that someday we'd be able to let our passion show. I guess it bloomed into love as time passed." Timothée smiled and Anya looked at him impressed.

"AWWWW!!!!" All of the girls shouted.

"That's freaking adorable!!!! You're the sweetest guy I've ever met!!!!" one of the girls exclaimed.

"Thank you!" Timothée said in a charming way.

"Do you have a brother, or a cousin perhaps...???? I need a boyfriend like you!!!!" a different girl said and Anya raised her eyebrow.

"Come here Poppy!!! You have to hear this!!!!" a girl shouted to her friend and three more girls approached them. Some minutes later they were surrounded by girls asking Timothée about his days in France, his hobbies, his favorite type of movies, and his food preferences.

"Okay, omg.. This is too much.." Anya whispered.

"Let's get out of here!" Timothée whispered back at her and then smiled politely at the girls.

"Yes, let's go!" Anya interlocked their fingers and started walking away, but then his hand slipped out of her own hand. She looked behind her and realized that the girls had trapped Timothée.

"Can you just let my boyfriend walk?" she shouted annoyed. They didn't even look at her, they were too focused on her fake lover.

Anya rolled her eyes and thought she should help Timothée, but that's when a weird sound came out of the speakers. Soon enough everyone realized someone was talking through a microphone.

"Yo.. Hello! Isn't this fucking party sick?" Ryan shouted and everyone screamed in joy.
"Yeah I know.. It would be hella better tho if there weren't people who pretend they belong to our elite world.. You know the type of people who lie about who they really are... There is one of them here tonight." he laughed.

"Oh shit..." Anya spoke to herself and quickly started walking to make it there in time and stop him. That's when she felt a hand landing on her arm.

"Hey bestie.... I think it's time to keep your friends some company, don't you think?" Lauren sarcastically asked.

"Not now Lauren..." Anya started walking again and her friend followed close behind her.

"Well...... Timothée Chalamet isn't it??? He's acting like he's one of us.. When is reality he is a nobody.. He has always been a student in our school, funny huh? Nobody had ever noticed him... It's as if the guy was invisible, and somehow he became all popular overnight. Damn, I'll start believing in miracles." Ryan spoke and everyone looked at him.

The girls stared at Timothée in shock and he stood there embarrassed without saying a word. Silence prevailed.

"What is Ryan talking about?" one of the girls asked.

"I.. I... I mean I didn't lie to you, right? I never said I was a new student... Yes I had always been to our school, but I wasn't hanging out that much with Anya.. And I wasn't really trying to become one of the popular kids, I'm still not trying to achieve that... I've always been more interested in my classes.. Education is important, it gives you knowledge.. And yeah..!" Timothée awkwardly spoke.

"Thought you said you were in touch with Anya all this time.." a girl said confused.

"I was in touch with her.. But we weren't hanging out... She had a boyfriend, I wasn't planning on ruining her relationship, it's called good manners." Timothée exclaimed.

"I have an important question.. How come we never noticed this handsome guy before?" a girl questioned.

"Omg, yes!!!!!! How did this happen????" another girl shouted. Soon enough they all went back to crushing over Timothée, asking him questions, as if nothing had ever happened.

"You see that? They love him... You think he does all of these to help you, when you're the one who helps him... He is a geek that finally gets the attention he always wanted... And damn, he's a good actor, I'll give him that.. He is going to stop playing your game soon, and get one of those rich girls...." Lauren crossed her arms.

"So what? What if he wants to be popular? I am the one who has to repay him somehow, remember?" Anya stared at Timothée and his fangirls from afar.

"Jesus Christ.. You should be the one who 'breaks up' with him.. He's going to do it first, and it's going to be humiliating... Being cheated on, then being dumped by a geek, isn't that too much to handle?" Lauren questioned in her bitchy tone.

"Being dumped..? We're not even a real couple.... What are you talking about?" Anya said annoyed.

"But I think you're catching feelings..... I'm your friend, I don't want you to get hurt.... This geek doesn't deserve it."

"I'm.. I'm not catching feelings... Mind your own business... I don't know what's going on with you, but I'm so sick of your nastiness."

"My nastiness? Fine do whatever you want, but don't come running back to us when he hurts you!" Lauren raised her thin eyebrow.

"Fuck you Lauren." Anya gave her a disappointed look and started walking away.

"See? You're talking like a stoned geek now... Seems like he has such a great impact on you!" she shouted and Anya didn't even take a second to look at her.
