Cyrus's PoV

"Now, we talk"  Ash said propping himself on a chair.

"Where are we?" Aiden replied taking another chair.

"My mother had this place built for circumstances like this" Ash explained.

I perched myself on a chair.

"Where to find the gem stone?" Ash asked out of the blue.

"Which gem stone?" Aiden Questioned.

"Tariol, the stone of life and death" I said.

"You mean Tarious?" Aiden raised a brow.

"Whatever"I rolled my eyes.

"Dude, you're insane"

"Did you just call me insane?"

"Shut up you two!" Ash snapped banging his fist against the table.

The room fell silent.

After what felt like an eternity, Ash spoke, "you two can stay here for as long as you want, I'll gotta look for Ellie" he stood up.

"Do you know where she is?" I asked.

"No" He said flatly.

"Tarious" Aiden paused for a moment then continued, "it can help is find her"

"Ooh, that's even better" I grinned.

"No it isn't, unlike you think, it's not just a gemstone, as far as I've heard, there's a beast held captive inside the stone, it will help but for a cost"

"I'll sacrifice anything for Ellina" Ash spoke, his eyes visibly darkening, his face set grim.

"It's somewhere up there in Cloudaria, ain't it?" I questioned.

Well, being on earth is much better than being in Cloudaria, it's easy to get information down here.

"How the hell can you have so much knowledge?" Aiden grumbled.

"I've got intelligence bruh" I smirked winking.

Ash, who had been standing since the last five minutes, took a seat beside me.

"Where's Cloudaria?" Ash arched a brow.

"Somewhere among clouds" I pouted.

"I suggested, you don't come." Aiden said to Ash.

To be honest, I didn't like him being so formal.

"He'll come, there's no way he's gonna let us go alone, he's sworn to protect me" I lied.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Ash rolling his eyes.

"Come on, he's a demon, unlike us, he'll be totally visible" Aiden said.

He was correct. Every single spirit will sense him there, that can end up in a bigger mess then we think.

"So, you want me to sit ducks here while you go have a fight alone, cause obviously you can't expect this heist to be peaceful!"

"No, you'll stay down here but whenever we're in trouble we'll signal you" Aiden said.

Ash stopped for a while.

Hesitantly, I took Aiden's side.

"He's right, we can't risk the only chance we have don't we?" I mumbled.

"Fine" Ash sighed.

"It shouldn't take long. When do we go?" I asked Aiden.

"As far as I'm concerned, Queen should be at meetings for the next two hours"

"Then?"

"Let's go now."

Well, time doesn't really matter for us because we don't eat or sleep. But I really wasn't in the mood to go now.

"Are you serious?"

"I'm really impatient to get Ellie back, even if you like it or not, you gotta go right now" Ash ordered.

I rolled my eyes.

"How're we gonna signal him?"

"Queen has a whole room filled with fireworks and flares"

What would Queen do with that kinda things?

"Will they work? I mean, Earth and Cloudaria are much farther than they seem" I asked.

"Those things are enchanted, they work differently and only supernatural beings can see them" Aiden explained.

I nodded wondering.

"Come on, let's go" Aiden said tugging on my arm.

"Stay safe" I heard Ash call before we glided into the tunnel.

We hovered above and through the small trap door.

After some moments, we were in open  air.

"Dude.." Aiden spoke, stopping in mid air.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm sorry"

For a while, I didn't understand anything but then something caught on my arms.

My wrists were shackled, my eyes scanned the surroundings. Twenty or so spirits surrounded me from all four sides.

How can he do this to me?

The person I had trusted the most ever since I became a spirit has betrayed me.

"How?"

Ignoring me, he ordered the spirit who stood behind me.

"Take him staright to the dungeons."

The spirits shot upwards at once, cutting through the thick clouds, we reached Claudaria.

Aiden was nowhere to be seen now. I was led to the castle from a different direction. After a five minute walk we reached a flight of stairs, which led down to the dungeons.

We crossed cells, thousands of them, I could hear whispers from inside. I felt presence of vampires, werewolves even humans and spirits.

I chuckled invardly at the thought of having such fate.

Being a spirit sucks.

The guard threw me in a dark cell and locked it.
