I spent most of my free time with Bucky, sitting in Tony and my bedroom together.
We never really spoke that much, just soaked in each other's company.
The majority of it we would sit on the floor in silence, just holding hands and thinking about where to go from here.
The league was, for the most part, disbanded.
Bucky was free, but he wasn't healed.
Tony understood why I had to help him, and he had been nothing less than the perfect partner through all of it.
He would debrief me at the end of every day to make sure I was okay, and he would hold me through the nights while I cried.
I was head over heels for that man, it was an undeniable fact.
If I was being completely honest with myself, I was certain my fight with the League was over.
There had been no more attacks, not since Charlotte.
Any survivors were probably cleaning up the mess, or trying to fix their own lives instead of attempting to ruin mine.
It was a comforting thought, but it wasn't enough.
Bucky needed rehabilitation.
He needed stability and he needed to feel like he was a good person.
He was, but he didn't know that.
After everything, how could he?
"If it makes you feel any better, I did what I did voluntarily." I said to Bucky, who sighed, looking out the window at the snow.
Christmas was coming, but he wasn't looking forward to it.
Id never been a christmas person myself, but I was excited about it this year.
For once, my life was truly worth living, and one of the things I'd yet to do was genuinely celebrate Christmas.
Like, really celebrate Christmas.
I couldn't remember the amount of times I took a life on December 25th.
The League waited for no one, you know?
