The verse (21) is the meaning of my love. Apart from this love, no love will impress me. This is the only love I've shown you so practice it every day. The reason for verse (22) was because I came to save the Israelites, not the world. But because of their disobedience, grace and mercy spread through to gentiles who were ready to obey me, and that is why verse (23-24) existed. Take this into the heart and trust me (25-31).
