Dani's PoV

A few days later

Elena and I stand in the living room signing the tenancy to the boarding house.

"Please sign here and here," the lawyer states pointing to the bottom, waiting for a signature.

Elena grabs the pen and quickly signs. I take the pen delicately writing my name next to hers.

Bonnie walks in, "You've signed a tenancy?"

I nod.

"So, this whole place is all yours?" She glances round smiling, "They just gave it to both of you?"

Elena sighs, "For now. As sole owners, we're the only ones who can invite a certain type of person in here, if you know what I mean."

Bonnie chuckles, "Your own personal safe house."

I bump shoulders with her, "Yep, that's the idea."

"Wouldn't want to clean it," Bonnie jokes following Elena while I direct the lawyer out of the house.

"Thank you Mr Henry," I smile, "Drive home safely."

Once the lawyer had left Stefan and Damon walk forward into the house only to be stopped by an invisible barrier.

Elena looks at them, "I'm sorry. I completely forgot."

She then looks at Stefan with a huge smile, "Stefan. Would you like to come inside my house?"

Stefan chuckles stepping into the house, "I would love to. Thank you."

I cross my arm wiggling my eyebrows at Damon.

Damon glares at us, "What are we, twelve?"

"One of us is," I joke biting my lip.

Elena sighs, "If we let you in, do you promise to obey the owners of this house?"

"No."

"Seriously, Damon. My way. You promised. I call the shots. No lies, no secret agendas. Remember?" Elena says.

Damon sighs, "Yes, Elena. Sure."

Elena grins, "Then please, come in."
