Dani's PoV

Three days later

I drive patiently into the school car park smiling when I see Elena walking past.

I quickly park the car jumping out, "Elena!"

She turns her frown lifting it to a huge grin, "Dani!"

I run over to her pulling her into a tight hug, "I've missed you."

She chuckles, "I missed you too."

"How was the summer cabin?"

I shrug, "Peaceful, fulfilling and extremely quiet."

"Well I'm glad you're back, you missed a lot."

"Damon told me that Stefan was kidnapped by the tomb vampires."

Elena sighs, "He had to drink some of my blood....I'm worried he might relapse. Damon said that Stefan only drinks from animals."

"So you think that Stefan is hiding something from you?" I ask swinging my bag over my shoulder.

Elena nods, "I do."

I shake my head, "Looks like the drama never stops here."

"Well it's Miss Mystic Falls in two days," I mumble to Elena.

"I know and I completely forgot about it," Elena admits.

"Same," I sigh, "But we both know that we need to compete for Miranda's sake right?"

She exhales softly, "Yes, I suppose so."

"Well we're gonna have to go shopping for dresses soon. Not to mention find dates," I grumble.

She sighs, "I'm gonna ask Stefan. What about you?"

I look up to the ceiling blinking slowly, "I'll probably ask Jeremy. Hopefully he won't mind."
