And so ended this story, but another soon began. Far from house Woolsey, back in the world of humans, a new threat was being unearthed.
Present a fool with treasure on the trigger of a bear trap and he won't hesitate to give up an arm, even when the treasure he seeks is naught but a lie. How much more would that same fool need to give up his very life? One such fool was approaching a false treasure in a far worse trap, one that would strip him of his soul and hand his body off to something else. An entity far more ancient than angels or devils and long since forgotten by even those timeless rivals. And as the fool broke into the dark and decayed ruin and cracked the cocoon of wax, some of the oldest living members of the three factions felt a tremble of fear that they could not explain.
