"So, HeavenLeigh this is Jhenè, one of my clients. Jhenè, this is HeavenLeigh, the young lady I told you about" Roddy's producer Terrell said introducing us.
"Nice to meet you! You are beautiful" Jhenè said giving me a hug.
I hugged her back and said "All you, to be honest. The pleasure's mine"
"Aww thank you" She said with a smile.
"No problem" I said nervously, I was so excited yet nervous about working with her.
"I'll leave you guys to it" Terrell said leaving out the room, and me and Jhenè sat down on the leather couch.
"So, I heard you're a songwriter" She said.
"Yes, and I wrote the perfect song for you." I said with a smile.
"Can you sing some of it for me?" Jhenè asked.
"Of course" I said pulling out my phone and going to my notes.
All of the sudden I felt all these nerves, but I'll be fine. I'm just nervous, because this is really happening.
I cleared my throat and she said "Don't be nervous"
"Sorry" I said chuckling.
"It's all good" Jhenè said with a smile.
"Okay so.." I trailed off before I started singing.
"Picture me rollin, out in the open, baby I know That you would notice, you have been hoping I wouldn't go Should I be wading? Should I be wading for you? Don't keep me waiting, I will turn blue.."
I kept singing and she rose her eyebrows which was a good sign, and once I stopped she clapped.
"Girl you are beyond talented!" She said and I smiled.
"Thank you soooo much. Means a lot coming from you" I said.
"No problem, your voice sounds like you grew up in church, very soulful" She said.
"I actually did grow up in church, you're absolutely right" I said.
"I knew it, thank you for even wanting to give me this song. I'm definitely gonna put it on my album" She said and I squealed.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Very, we need to get this recorded today" Jhenè said standing up and I stood up as well.
