Haechan eventually fell asleep in Renjun's tight embrace, their soft snores mixed together in the peaceful atmosphere, their hearts beating as one

Bonding together such as they hadn't ever with anyone else

They were special to eachother

And even though they had really only known eachother for a bit. For some reason that little amount of time was enough for them to fall so deeply infatuated with eachother

And yet.

Denial.

Renjun was still mourning his break-up with his boyfriend, and he was afraid that the same thing would happen with Haechan

And Haechan was convinced that he couldn't ever love

He was afraid

He had many girlfriends before this point. And it wasn't that he was a player. It's just.... He fell out of love

For some reason anytime he fell in love he would fall right back out after he started dating

And honestly this constant cycle lead to... Well fear

He was afraid that he could actually have something with this other boy and then just not love him anymore

He was afraid that Renjun probably didn't even liked him

I mean the two hated eachother

On the outside

But they didn't know that

They were to caught up making snarky remarks and rude comments towards eachother because they didn't want to stop and experience a romantic moment

They were both consumed in fear

Fear of hurting eachother

And yes they tried to hurt each other with words

But they had fallen so deeply in love that they didn't want to hurt the other by admitting their feelings

Love is such a strong word

As is hate

And sometimes when you hate someone for so so so long you can't tell when the hate slowly but surely progresses into love

It's a scary change

And sometimes it's too late to stop it before you've dug yourself into a hole that you might never be able to escape from

Fear is a powerful thing
