CHAPTER 42 - LEAVE HER ALONE

THIRD PERSON'S POV

When Kumareng Helen said that consiglieres are busy, this is what she is talking about...

Kasalukuyang nakatayo sa harap ng isang portrait painting si Dyther, nakatingin siya dito na puno ng pagkamangha.

"Ilang beses ko ng nakita ang painting na'to, but still I'm amazed at how realistic it looks..."

Inalis niya ang tingin sa painting at bumagsak ang tingin sa lalaking kasama niya.

Nakatingin din ito sa painting pero tila wala itong emosyon.

"The painter's dead and so does the person he painted." ani nito sa kaniya.

Muling tumingin si Dyther sa painting.

Ang painting na pinagmamasdan nilang dalawa ni Rebel ay ang portrait ng isang magandang babae. A portrait where the woman smiles with her heart while knitting a baby's clothes.

"Do you miss her?" tanong ni Dyther...

"She's a selfish woman, why would I?"

"She's your mother, Rebel..."

"A mother who left us for another man and bear a twin that left her dead...do you think I would miss such person?"

Sandaling pinakalma ni Dyther and sitwasyon bago siya muling nagbitaw ng tanong. "How's Ryder? Has he able to come back?"

"Unfortunately, that fortunate bastard made it alive. He'll join us for dinner later."

Muli pa sanang sasagot si Dyther pero may isang maid ang lumapit.

"Madame Cannabeth is already at the entrance, Sir."

Ahh, sa wakas dumating na din ang iniintay nila.

Their little reunion is finally happening.

Nasa main mansion sila ng mga Silvia. Hindi ito iyong mansion na pinuntahan dati ni Dyther na malapit sa port.

"Lead the traitor to the dining area." utos ni Rebel sa maid.

Agad namang sumunod ang maid, Dyther remained calm kahit pa ramdam na bumigat ang hangin sa paligid.

After years, nagkaharap muli si Cannabeth at si Rebel. Wala silang closure mga marecakes kaya naman hindi talaga maganda ang aura na bumabalot sa dalawa.

They are eating silently will killing intent. Parang anytime magsasakmalan sila.

"Won't you ask me how the trial went?" pangbasag ni Cannabeth sa pekeng katahimikan. She is patiently cutting the beef steak.

"You're the best lawyer we have, I know you won the case." pag compliment sa kaniya ni Dyther with the sweetest smile.

Kinain ni Cannabeth ang hiniwang steak. Tumingin siya ng diretsyo kay Dyther at bahagya niyang nginitian ito pabalik. "I didn't."
