I woke up to my alarm going off and Niyah yelling at me to turn it off.
"Girl please shut up" I said turning it off and going into my bathroom
I started the shower then got undressed I stepped in and begin washing up. After a 20 minute shower I got out wrapping a towel around me before walking out the bathroom into my room seeing Niyah was now up.
"Good morning grumpy" I said
"Good morning boo" she said smiling like if she wasn't just yelling
I shook my head at her finding something to wear. Niyah came out the bathroom sitting on the bed watching as I got dressed.
"I don't wanna go back to Chicago" she pouted
"Aww I forgot you leave today" I said still getting ready
"Yeah sadly" she said rolling her eyes
"Mari get up" my mom said peeking in my room
"Good morning y'all" she smiled
"Good morning mommy" I smiled
"Good morning momma" Niyah said
Aniyah and my mom always had a close bond it was like as if she was another daughter to my mom. They loved each other and if you were to see them in public you wouldn't even think that's not her actual child the way they act.
She closed the door leaving. I headed in my bathroom brushing my teeth and washing my face. I did my hair putting it in a neat high messy bun before cleaning up the bathroom and going back in the room.
"You won't be here when we get out of school?" I asked
"No I gotta go see my mom then i'm leaving"
she said
"Oh" I said sadly
"It's okay best friend i'll be back soon" she said smiling
"I hope so" I said grabbing my phone along with my bookbag
"I'll meet you downstairs ima take a shower and stuff" she said getting up
"Okay" I said before leaving out the room and closing the door behind me
I walked downstairs seeing pops cooking. I loved his cooking. Don't get me wrong I love my moms cooking too, but something about pops food...it was just different.
"Morning pops" I said sitting at the island
"Good morning Mari"
"What you cooking?" I asked checking the time
"You'll see" he chuckled
A few minutes later everyone came downstairs Niyah spoke to everyone except Mir.
"Aniyah you leaving today or tomorrow?" my mom asked handing us all a plate of what pops cooked
Best believe I wasted no time eating.
"Damn Mari" pops laughed
"Stop" I said covering my mouth
"Yeah I leave today" Niyah said eating
