Reader's Point Of View

"It's amazing! Any injuries you have gotten are already starting to heal." Donnie said. "So what are you saying?" I asked. 

"That in maybe three hours, you should be fully healed." Donnie said as he started looking back on his notes. I sat there as my mind went blank, I can now heal faster? "This is one of the suspicions I had since we had started testing you." Donnie said as he then started writing down his new findings.

"Well w-why now!?" I questioned. "Well basically what I am thinking, since you are starting to get the hang of your power, your blood has now fully become- I-I guess altered from the mutagen. That it has now fully come to it's matured state which is what wouldn't have been possible when you were younger. So the whole time you were being exposed to that weird mutagen shot, your body was slowly starting to alter itself in the first place; they were just putting another chemical into you so that whenever you stopped taking it, that I guess it would fully awaken." Donnie said.

"Thanks for explaining it more in an English understanding Don." Leo said as he stood there for a second to process this, as April was standing there holding back tears. 

My ears were ringing and I don't know exactly why. I felt so weak all of a sudden, I got off the table and walked away a few steps as it suddenly clicked in. Thinking back on Ethan, and the fact that I wasn't human to begin with. And with Sack's with the fact of the doctor he had put me on was giving me this...

This is why they wanted me to begin with, they wanted me as a weapon. But when they thought Ethan was going to fail at the mission, they thought I would be of no use since it would take longer to get me to that mental state. But they had also found out about Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey.. Maybe even Master Splinter. So they thought it was best to go with them instead, since it was their previous mission. 

It all makes so much sense. I am the weapon they failed to get, I am a target waiting to be pinned on again. 

"- Y/n!" 

I looked around me to see everyone staring at me. "Y/n, it's okay." April started as she approached me.

I backed away quickly. 

"I-I.." I couldn't even form words at this point.

"T-There's n-no way f-for me to get back to n-" I gasped for air as I placed my hands on my knees. 

I have no life up top anymore, I never will. I will never be my human self again I will never be able to go to college, to have a job. To go without having any new friends.

"Hey Y/n, we are here!" April's voice snapped me out of whatever this was.  "I-I-I can't be h-human ag-agin April." I sobbed. "Hey, you are still you." April said as she gave me a hug. "B-b-but April don't you see? I-I was the next experiment." I said. 

April suddenly realized it as well as she inhaled sharply. "We will always be there to stop them from ever trying it again. I definitely will keep looking for a way to help you Y/n." April said.

I held up a finger before I tried to calm myself down. At that time I would be able to think of what I want to say before saying anything, after having a realization moment, panic attack.

It took me a little while as I finally managed to calm down.

I suddenly felt embarrassed as I shook these feelings off. Everyone had continued talking to spare me their looks which I appreciated. 

"- I may be able to use it to pin point their location." Donnie continued. "We find them, we find Shredder. Put them all in shackles." Casey commented as April and I looked over to him.

Mikey was playing with a soccer ball as he passed it to Raph who was hanging by his legs on one of the large pipes. "As long as we all have our hockey masks, what could go wrong?" Raph laughed lightly at the end of his joke as he popped Mikey's soccer ball and flipping off of it.

Mikey picked up his now deflated ball. "Dude!" He exclaimed before tossing it to the ground.

"Seriously? Now I'm taking a bunch of work advise from a bunch of swamp things -"

"Ree! Ree! Ree!" Mikey mocked as he held Casey's mask. "- hey! Who live in an underground amusement park, and excuse me... Have the most pretentious names ever." Casey said.

"Uh excuse me, I named them." April defended. Casey then turned away and looked in the opposite direction. "You guys..." Casey said quietly. "Don't move - Don't move!" Casey said. 

Making Raph and Mikey stop and look at him. "There is a giant rat back there." Casey said. 

We all looked to Master Splinter, who was quietly cleaning one of his small trees while listening to music. 

"Yeah, we've.. Seen him around here before." Raph started. Mikey immediately smiling. Everyone including Leo motioned for them to stop. Which clearly wasn't going to stop them.

"-You just gotta get low." Raph said as he actually lowered himself as well as Mikey which Casey followed. Leo, April and I smiled as we continued to watch as Casey charged at Master Splinter with a loud shout, in which Casey failed as he was tripped from Master Splinter as he flipped into stance.

"Giant rat one, new guy zero." He commented, everyone laughed at Casey other than me and April as we all gathered around Casey and looked down at him.

"We should have people over more often." Mikey commented, me and Leo shook our heads as we broke from the circle.

I managed to gather my composer about forever being a mutated human as I slowly started to think about what else I should be grateful for in my life.

I looked over to see Casey and April walking after him as he was talking about something. I watched as Casey paused and looked at our dump truck that Donnie designed.

He's one of the cops then, that is why he is so invested about those guys. I looked over to the brothers as they were chatting, I took a deep breath before I started to talk.

"H-hey guys..." I started as they paused what they were doing while they looked over to me. "Look.. I-I'm sorry for fr-freaking out about no longer being human." I said. 

They all looked to each other before Mikey grinned. "What?" I asked. Mikey suddenly lunged at me as he wrapped his arms around me while the other brothers followed with smiles on their faces.

"You've been a part of the family for a year, nobody expects you to be used to being this way right away Y/n." Mikey said.

I looked at each of the brothers as we all had a big group hug. I smiled as a few tears ran down my face. "Awe, I love you guys." I said as they laughed. "We love ya too." Raph said as he ruffled my hair as he quickly turned away to go do something other than; in his words "being sappy."

Everyone started to part as they started doing their own thing as we thought about what our next move should be. I walked over to Donnie to see how his progress on tracking BeBop and Rocksteady was going.

He was still working on it as I managed to head over to Raph who was using the bench press, probably using a huge amount of weights.

Meanwhile...

Donnie worked in his little lab as he did what he did which was experimenting. He was talking to himself before he paused and gasped. He grabbed a sample and ran towards Leo who was working on his sword.

Mikey peeked over top of the small ledge as he listened in on their conversation. Y/n walked by with April and Casey as they were walking around. Leo made Donnie quiet down as he spilled the beans of his findings. 

"Don't tell them about this..." Leo said as he looked to Donnie. "B-But this could change all our lives." Donnie said. "Y/n is already unstable enough as it is... Us... We don't need that kind of change." He said. Donnie pulled away.

"Y-Your'e right.. We have a formula... We stick to it..." He said quietly feeling defeated.

Mikey held the shocked face as he held back tears as he quietly left to tell Raph.
