"I'll call for a meeting Cedric; just try to calm Axel down" Lilith smiles weakly walking away from Cedric

Cedric sighs heavily knowing that there's no way to calm Axel down at this point

"Emergency Meeting" Lilith calls from the staircase returning back to the secret first floor

The rest of Axel's team; The Santiago's rush down the stairs to enter the secret door to the office. only those close to the team and had Axel's trust were allowed to be aware of the secret floor.

THE SANTIAGO'S

Macy Ford-23 years old, head in technology, amazing with creating new devices.

Phoenix Lee-25 years old, the one and the only sniper on the team, ranked #1 in the dark world

Lilith Adelman-24 years old, she's the team medic and doctor, the youngest certified doctor

Liam Adelman-24 years old, best thief and fighter on the team, also the twin brother of Lilith

Bridget Harris-23 years old, she's the team's hacker and head of security

Cedric Torres- 25 years old, he's the team's planner and best friend of Axel

Amira Archrya-25 years old, she's a member of the police force and helps keep the team away from the eyes of the law also the current girlfriend of Hunter

Hunter Miller-26 years old, Top security guard of the team, second best friend of Axel and current boyfriend of Amira

Annika Santiago- 20 years old, Younger sister of Axel, Best Assassin in the world

All are top ten team members. There are over two hundred guards working alongside.

Axel stares at the loaded gun on his desk quietly while each team member stands side by side waiting for Axel to say something.

"Today we lost not only a friend but a close and loyal ally. He was there for us during the darkest times and kept this team still standing today. He's done more for me than I've ever done for him but I'll make sure to change that. Starting today, tomorrow and the day after we're avenging his death." Axel says playing with his weapon

"Sorry, but Who are we avenging exactly?" Liam asks rubbing his arm nervously

"Morse, Morse Jones," Lilith says staring off into space

Liam swallows the heavy lump in his throat.

"Morse...Jones" Axel says lowly

"Maybe we should take a few days off-" Cedric says hesitantly before getting cut off by Axel

"Get out, Meetings over," Axel says harshly

"But we haven't-" Cedric says stopping

Axel looks up with a poisonous look in his eyes, like a serpent. Cedric nods exiting the office followed by the rest of the team.

Axel opens his safe placing his gun inside quickly before exiting the office himself.

Lilith pulls Cedric into her bedroom shutting the door,

"What are you doing Lilith?" Cedric asks confused

"I told you to calm him down Cedric," Lilith says disappointed

"I couldn't calm him down after the first death, could I?!"

"But you're his best friend Ced"

"Bestfriend but he has a temper that's uncontrollable"

"That's why we need to distract him, Cedric, so he doesn't burn down the whole of New York"

"He won't do that knowing he has Devine to keep safe, I'll go out and get him some drinks for now until Felix can bring him out tonight"

"Be careful Cedric" Lilith says

"I'm always careful," Cedric says winking

Cedric exists Lilith's bedroom cautiously rushing down the stairs, Devine runs to him and Cedric lifts her up into the air and catches her.

"Hey, Devine!" Cedric says

"Uncle Ced, are you going out?

"Yup"

"A Donut please?" Devine asks

"The one with blue frosting and sprinkles?"

"Yup" Devine says laughing

Cedric puts Devine down pecking,

"I'll make sure to get that, have fun with Aunt Annika until I arrive back"

"Okay!" Devine says running off

Cedric exists the mansion locking the front door,

"I'm so glad Axel owns a bakery not too far" Cedric whispers to himself

Meanwhile...Alora

Tiredness rushes over me, with a wide yawn my eyes water as I reach for the half-used bag of flour to place back into the cabinet. my apron was a mess, of course, I've been working at the cafe since morning running on five hours of sleep. Hopefully ill have time to nap before heading to my next job.

Living sure isn't easy bills on top of bills was my only source of company. Although I'm safe on my own everything was still difficult. the cafe doorbell dings open and a man I've never seen in all my months of working here walks in. my night job is enough to pay for rent but I wanted to improve my hobby and love for baking so applied to work at Devine's Delights. An older lady works alongside me here too, she instantly hired me on the spot and I'm so thankful for this opportunity.

I smile standing by the cash register,

The stranger's hair was pitch black like the night and wavy past his shoulders.

"Welcome to Devine's Delights, what would you like to order today?" I say

"Just one blue dreams donut with sprinkles"

"I'll get you one right away sir"

Leaving the cash register I picked the silver tongs up and grab a blue dreams donut placing it in a paper bag for the stranger. walking back I rest it on the counter quickly entering the price into the cash register.

"That'll be one dollar and fifteen cents"

He hands me a five-dollar bill,

"keep the change," he says with a shrug before taking the paper bag and leaving

"Thank you enjoy the donut I yell out

Meanwhile...Somewhere in Manhattan

I sighed heavily, part of me felt guilty for doing this but I know this is best to keep him on his feet. He'll be a mess at first but he needs to realize he can do this all on his own even without me.

"Goodbye for now my boy"
