23-A Dark Night

The next day...Axel's Mansion

"I've missed you so much, Devine!" Alora smiled as she talked on the phone with Devine

"I miss you too" Devine yelled

"We'll pick you up in a few days. Have fun with your grandma and grandpa okay?"

"Okay!"

"Bye Angel!"

"Bye Alora!"

Alora hung up the phone and placed it on the dresser. She quickly fixed her braids and awaited for Axel to finish getting dressed.

"Hi my love" Axel said walking out of the bathroom

"Hi baby, you look nice"

"Don't I always look nice?" Axel asked winking

Alora giggled and nodded.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come along with the rest of us to train?" Axel added

"Train?" Alora questioned

Axel chuckled

"Yes, Training; everyone on the team goes to the gym which is located south of the mansion. We usually fight, do some boxing and practice at the shooting range. Since you're not only my girlfriend but a part of the team I'd like it if you'd come along. You don't have to train or anything. You can watch as well."

"No it's okay I think it'll be good and necessary skills to learn"

"I'm glad, come on, let's get going."

Axel grabbed ahold of Alora's hand and guided her down the stairs and out of the mansion.

"Aren't we taking the car there?" Alora asked confused

Axel chuckled

"No, we don't need to it's at the back of the mansion"

Alora shrugged and followed Axel as he guided her from the mansion to the mansion's training centre. It looked exactly like a large house on the outside but as they stepped behind the closed doors there was a whole nother world. A large gym with a wide ring in the middle, multiple punching bags, treadmills and dumbbells.

"The outside really fooled me" Alora laughed

"Just in case an enemy gets past our security" Axel winked

Axel got into the ring and winked at Alora

"come on don't keep the beast waiting"

"Beast?" Alora giggled and got into the ring as well

"Okay Alora now, give me your best punch"

Alora got into form and clenched her fist tightly.

"You even have a great form I'm quite surprised"

"Thanks" Alora winked

"Now think of something or someone you truly hate and then punch"

Alora let out a deep breath and remembered all the dark childhood times. The hurt, the tears and the times she couldn't fight back. She released her fist and hit Axel in the stomach with a hard blow. Axel grunted his teeth and exhaled.

"Alora it's okay stop!" He grabbed her and wrapped his arms around her

"You did good today, I'm proud of you" Axel whispered as the pain in his stomach eased away

Axel pulled away and pecked Alora gently.

"I'm sorry, I think I punched you too hard," Alora said gently
