"Papa, Athy can walk by herself"

"This is faster."

She wanted to sigh. 'Is there even a need to walk faster?' she wondered.

"That's right. It's not good for the princess to overwork her body, just yet!" Felix chimed in

Hearing a soft snort, her gaze fell on her brother who already had his head resting on their father's other shoulder. She understood why she's being carried. After all, she had slept through forty-freaking-eight-days, and as her muscles had waned, she need to learn how to walk again but—

"Why is Papa carrying you, Ardy?" she asked, a frown on her face, brows furrowed in confusion.

The boy sleepily blinked. "I asked Papa to carry me"

"You shouldn't bother Papa like that," She huffed. Glancing at their silent father who remained silent, she continued, "Papa might be tired from carrying both Athy and Ardy"

"It's fine. Your brother's light."

A pulse of anger made her head hurt. 'Are you calling me fat again?'

"Besides," she blinked when his jewel eyes met hers for a split second, "It's a nice day, we can walk all the way back to the garden."

'But do you really have to carry both me and Ardy?'

"Your highness, may I carry either the princess or prince?"

"Take five steps back."

"Haa..." softly sighing, pitying the sad puppy, er, Felix, who was forced to walk farther apart, she leaned her head on her father's chest, replicating her brother whose eyes were falling shut. As the wind blew in their face, she shifted as she tried to cover her eyes from the dust—

"Ow!"

The Emperor paused, looking down at the two children who were already eyeing each other after the twin cry of pain. "What is it?" the man asked

"Noona, your pin caught my hair," the boy whined, eyes narrowed.

"It's your fault, Ardy" she instinctively snipped back.

There was a soft sigh above their head. "It's fine, stop fooling around and just take it out."

Seeing Ardy's pointed look, she huffed, before letting her hands get to work.

"Princess, shall I help you?"

"Five steps"

Ignoring the exchange between Claude and his Knight, Athanasia concentrated on her job. She intentionally took no heed to Ardy's wincing (he can be a big baby sometimes, geez), her eyes brightened as she finally took off the pin by tugging it out her hair.

"Done—"

Huh?

Feeling a gaze, she slowly looked up to meet her brother's gaze that was eyeing the pin within her hands. Most specifically, the golden strands of hair. Sheepishly smiling, she muttered a small, "oops?" to her brother.
