"I miss the old girl you were" John said caressing my cheek

"Many will. She was easier to kill" I said removing his hand from my cheek

"What changed?" He asked walking closer to me, invading my private space

"I matured up to know the difference between the right and wrong" I said stepping back. It's true earlier I would have probably flirted with him

"I still love you and wish to make you mine" he said, his hand on my waist pulling me closer. I put my hand on his chest and went closer to him

"To bad, I have a husband" I whispered our nose almost touching. I got away from him and walked to my car

"I need my drugs. I would like it if you hurry" I said. He sighed in defeat and went to get the drugs. I got in my car and waited for him, after a while I saw him coming. He opened the trunk and filled the drugs in and as soon as he closed the trunk I drove off

I walked in the house. Tyler's. Everyone stared at me, anger behind those stares. I could feel it. I walked up to Taylor, I could see it in her eyes. The way she wanted to be against me but also wanted to help me.

"It shouldn't have happened"

"But you did it Jane, you tried to kill my brother" Taylor said and I pointed at my cheek were I had a small bandaid because I cut it at Tyler's ring when he slapped me as the whole area was bruised with a cut there.

"I'm sorry Taylor but I expect you to do the same. When we are blessed with guns, we should use it to our self defence. He.......slapped me and I swear to lord he might have been drunk with alcohol but I was drunk with rage because I will not tolerate domestic violence or something as dirty as rape. I didn't shoot him as Jane Walker Hernandez. I shot him as Don Jane Walker because I am not willing to tolerate injustice towards me or my family" I said

"Jane!" Mrs. Hernandez advanced towards me

"Mom, stop! She's......right. I would have done the same if it was my husband" Taylor stood between us.

"Taylor do you want to get lunch?" I whispered, she nodded and dragged me out.

"I'm sorry I need to pick this up" I said and picked my phone up as Taylor went through the menu

"What do you mean Parker? When I ask you for early shipment, you forget about it. I don't even have a shipment scheduled. Fine, I'm coming"

"I need to go maybe you can come and meet Julia too"

"Fine"

"Morning boss" Parker said as I opened the door and got out of my car

"Morning idiot" I replied and Taylor chuckled

"Taylor meet Parker. Parker this is Taylor" I said when both of them held each other at eye contact it was like the whole world stopped for them. I checked my wrist watch, I cleared my throat as a minute passed and they broke apart. I rolled my eyes and walked in as they followed me. Taylor went to the left wing to meet Julia and Parker followed me to my office

I was tired so I decided to take a nap in my room. When I came down, I decided to go drop Taylor off. I walked to my car and saw Taylor and Parker chatting animatedly. I ordered Parker to go and work while I drove her off

He asked me for a date" 

"I hope you said 'no'"

"I said 'yes'"

"Why?"

"I liked his personality"
