Wilburs POV (the day of getting Quackity)
a whole week. no Quackity. I thought I'd be fine. sure, I wasn't happy about it but I didn't think I'd be bothered.

everything felt slow, boring. painful, even. Dream is no fun, which doesn't help. he's always darting around, mining, he can't sit still. he also writes a lot. I asked him about it and he said it's become a habit. he explained that its like a diary, keeping his thoughts and what he did that day.

when we did talk, the conversation would somehow get to the revival book. I told him about my limbo, how endless it was. he explained that whenever he used the book, it took a lot out of him. he'd be exhausted for days after using it, but he wasn't sure if it took his energy or his life force.

he also mentioned something about a God he saw when locked up. he described how the cell made him crazy. I knew how he felt. but whenever that part of the conversation came up, he came up with an excuse to leave.

when he did leave, he'd be gone for no more than an hour and immediately came back. he spent time mining out our base, making it bigger and lots of exits and tunnels so only we knew how to get in. it gave me a headache learning them all but when I remembered the clues getting in it was pretty simple.

basically follow a certain rock pattern. coal, diorite, andistie, stone, stone, granite, diorite. and so on. but that's the main one. I hated learning it but knew it'd be so fun to teach Quackity.

God I missed him. his face, his touch, his sarcasm, his voice. everything. I'd never thought I'd feel like this. when we first start "working" together, it was fake. at least on my part. I needed someone powerful and he fit the criteria. and I somehow fell for him. I'm not exactly complaining though. having a soft spot isn't that bad.

I used to have a soft spot for my family, I still kinda do. but I'd never let them see it, not now. I've ruined too much. there's no going back.

Dream suddenly comes back from one of his tunnels, some mushrooms and fruits in hand.

"Whats all that?" I ask.

he walks over and places them by a brewing stand we got from Quackity. "it's ingredients. we're gonna make some sleeping potions." he explained.

"for what?"

"Quackity, obviously. when we "kidnap" him, we're putting him to sleep. this way, we don't actually hurt him." Dream explains, using his fingers to make quotation marks when he says "kidnap."

"when? when are we getting him?" I ask desperately. I don't care how it sounded needy, it's because I am.

"how does today sound? get things rolling?" he suggests. I eagerly nod and get up to help with the potion.

as we make it, Dream explains that it's technically a lingering potion, but works like a gas. it'll fill the air for a few minutes and then fade. but we would be fine becuase we'll have masks.

I don't do much when we made the potion, I just handed Dream what he needed when he asked.

"I wonder how things are up there." I say, breaking the silence.

"I saw through Ranboo last night, through the Enderwalk. it seems everyone's panicking. I saw... I saw Quackity, Tubbo and... Tommy. they're together. they don't look good. it seems Ranboo isn't as trusted as I thought."

"oh.. is Quackity okay?"

"he's fine from what I saw. maybe more tired and slumped, but fine."

I silently nod.

"Hey, odd question but does Quackity get nightmares often?" Dream asks.

"um... every once in a while. he's gotten better after we got together. before then, he'd have one like every night." I explain. Dream nods in response. "why?"
