I smiled as I laid next to Atlas, a blanket sloppily thrown over my naked body and her arms also wrapped around me. I felt her head that was resting on my chest move up so I looked at her and she was looking at me. We stared at each other for a while, getting lost in the others eyes.
"I love you." She said, breaking the comfortable silence.
I smiled, bringing my hand to her face and using my thumb to rub her cheek.
"I love you more." I responded.
She smiled at me and her eyes began to water. It was painfully obvious that she was trying to mask the new emotions coming over her by covering them up with a smile. I frowned. "What's wrong baby?"
"He can't hurt me anymore." She cried out, bringing her hand and placing it on top of mine, holding it to her face. I smiled.
"You're right. He can't." I said, turning over to face her and pulling her body closer to mine.
"You're okay, love." I said as I held her. "I've got you."
