Heartless Sweetheart

Jealousy.

I quickly push Ni-ki harshly off me and stand up straight. 

"Uhh dinner's ready Hyejin and Ni-ki" I breath out in confusion to him not being mad. 

After he leaves I pinch my forehead and think about how to apologize to Ni-ki. why the heck to do keep getting involved with him?

"Ni-ki, I'm literally so sorry I didn't mean to trip and-"

"It's fine. Let's just go eat." He says quickly ending our conversation.

We eat in silence until my mom starts some small talk.

"So.. Ni-ki! What's your relationship with Hyejin? She's never brought a guy home except you and Jake..." She adds Jake to the conversation making me jump up in surprise. 

"Oh? really?" He says quickly only allowing me who is sitting next to him to hear. 

"Well uh we go to the same school? I guess." Ni-ki says while eating. 

"Ni-ki thanks for taking care of my little sister last time. But don't ever take her to your house without us knowing." Jihyeok says making me drop my fork. 

"Uh... your welcome? She was there on the street so I couldn't just leave her." He says. 

We finish eating and Ni-ki leaves and I walk him out the door. 

"Bye Ni-ki. Thank your mom for the bento!" I say while smiling. We are not friends or enemies. What are we Ni-ki?

"Okay. Also quick question, Jake's been to your house before?" Ni-ki says catching me off guard.

I scratch my nape and say "Yea. Weirdly we met like a couple weeks but I trust him a lot." 

"I never asked for your life story." I look down at my shoes as I have a habit of oversharing. 

"Sorry. I didn't mean that. Bye Hyejin. See you at school." He says making me wow in surprise. I've never heard him say sorry?

I walk to my room and sit on my bed and scroll on Instagram. Jihyeok knocks on my door and comes in.

"Hyejin me and mom are going out tomorrow so will you be okay alone?" 

"Yea have fun! Good night!" I say and turn on my phone again.

"Good night Hyejin-ah." He says before leaving.

I decide to finally text all my friends back starting with Jake who sent literally an essay of texts.

Jake🤞:

Jake🤞: Hyejinn I miss youuu :(

                                                                                                                           Me: Omg Jake I'm literally so sorry.

Jake🤞: OMG Your okay right??? I was so worried! What happened?

                                                                                                            Me: Uh well I met my fucking dad again....

Jake🤞: Omg are you okay??

                                                                         Me: I'm kinda fine but wanna talk about it in person tom? 

Jake🤞: How? Should I come over?

                                                                                   Me: Yup. I'm going to invite everyone! Please come at like 1pm. My mom and brother won't be home either. lyyy see you tom!
