Heartless Sweetheart

Exams :(

Heeseung comes and walks up to me with a fake but bright smile. Niki starts holding my hand and Jake flings his arm over my shoulders. 

"Who's this Hyejin?" they say in unison. I laugh at their over their protectiveness. 

"He's my brother's friend calm down." I say while giggling. 

"Okay Hyejin the police said me,Jay,Jungwon, Sunghoon, Jake, and Sunoo have to leave. Sorry! I will come by tomorrow if that's fine with you!" Jukyung says as she gets pushed out the door by police. 

"Bye Hyejin. Please feel free to call me whenever." Jake says while patting my head which makes me flinch. 

"She won't be calling you anytime soon as long as I'm alive." Niki says while Jake glares at him and walks out. 

I hear Ji-ung from afar screaming and yells at the cops that it wasn't him, when luckily they had cameras installed.

"WHERE IS MY SON JI-UNG??!?!" I hear a middle aged woman scream as she walks into the police station. uh oh. 

She comes up to me and slaps me across the face. I hold my cheek which is not bright red and I stare back at her. 

"Hyejin! Are you okay?" I hear both Jake and Niki say while trying to look at my cheek. 

"Yah! Who dares to hit my daughter??!?!?" My mom says while rushing up to me. 

"I do! Me and my husband are very upset with this trouble your daughter has caused for our little Ji-ung!!" She says that makes me scoff. Ji-ung is standing like a child behind his parents. 

"I-" I get cut off by Niki shouting "Your little Ji-ung decided to abduct and abuse my friend over here! He deserves nothing!". 

Police men come running up to the scene and try to pull his mom and dad away from me. 

"Yah! Do you know who my husband is??!?! He works for a big company!!" She says and my mom rolls her eyes and says "Do you know who I am? I own that company!". I smile and rub my cheek at my mom and give her a thumbs up with the energy I have left to move my body. 

His parents go quiet and cooperate with the policemen. 

"Okay everything is set. You guys can go and of course the offenders stay here." one of the policemen say. 

Niki grabs Ji-ung's collar and whispers something in his ear that I couldn't hear. 

"Don't mess with what's mine ever again."

We walk out of the station with my family Heeseung and Niki. Heeseung is fooling around and trying to cheer Jihyeok up. 

"Are you okay Hyejin?" My mom asks while rubbing my shoulder. I nod slowly and look down at my shoes. 

"Ah! I forgot! Niki thank you so much for saving my Hyejin. I am so grateful for you Niki. Your always there to help Hyejin!" My mom says while Jihyeok and Heeseung nod their heads to agree. 

"Ah no problem future mother-in-law!" I choke on my spit and look at Niki with darts in my eyes. 

"YAH!" I say. 

Ji-ung I hope you rot in jail.

"Hyejin. You can't escape now!!"

"Hyejinnnn I will find you!"

"Why? DO you not love me?"

"That's so disgusting Hyejin. Why would you let him do that?"

Ji-ung's voice rings in my ear as I sleep. I squeeze my eyes shut but they don't go away. Please stop. Stop. Stop. 

I spend the next whole day in bed trying to stop the thoughts. Maybe if I fought back it wouldn't have happened? Maybe if I didn't mess with him this wouldn't have happened? 

I get texts from my friends just checking up on me. I cancel my plans with Jukyung as I don't have the energy to get out of bed. One text message intrigues me and I open it curiously. OMFG. I totally forgot about the exam tomorrow. That was tomorrow? What should I do? It's important. 

I am just trying to get to school tomorrow. School. Just school.

I forcefully pull my both up from my bed and don't both washing up. I put on my outfit and walk downstairs. 

"H-Hi mom."

"Hyejin! Your going to school? Come eat!"

"Yea I have a test. Also I don't feel like eating." I say while picking up my backpack and walking out the door. I check my notifications on my phone and see one from the school website. Shit. Is that me? And Ji-ung? Was it Seoyoung again? I try and ignore it and look up from my phone. 

I see Niki standing outside and on his phone. 

"Niki?" I say and he jumps up and rubs the back of his neck. 

"Hi. I didn't expect to see you here!" He says nervously. 

"This is my house Niki. Also we are going to be late let's go." I say while walking. 

"So.. you decided to come to school?" He says shyly. 

"Yea..."

The whole walk is awkward and quiet until He says something. 

"So.. Did you sleep well?"

"Not really. But I had am exam today so I had to go.."

That was the conversation we had for a good 20 seconds.

I walk into school with Niki and I see everyone's excited faces. What's going on?

"AHHH HYEJIN!!"
