Hentetsu is a very reserved and erudite man who is calm in all circumstances. However, despite his asocial and reserved side, Hentetsu is ready to do anything for his students, and beware if you succeed in making him blow a fuse.
Hentetsu cherishes his private life and his passions, such as literature and gardening. He grows all kinds of fruits and vegetables as well as some seeds for his pet falcon. No wonder he can't stand the noise of the big cities.

Hentetsu grew up in the small village of Ueno in Gunma prefecture as the only son of a modest farming family. At the age of 14, during a terrible typhoon, Hentetsu witnessed the heroism of pro-heroes who saved his parents from drowning and protected their fields from the storm. This experience sparked his passion for heroes, and he dedicated himself to studying hard to enter a superheroic high school. Despite receiving a recommendation for U.A., Hentetsu chose to attend Ketsubutsu High School, afraid of the attention he might receive by joining U.A. After graduation, he joined a modest pro-hero agency in the countryside, where he quickly proved himself as a skilled and dedicated hero by saving many farms. His hard work and success in the field caught the attention of the director of U.A, and after encouragement from his colleagues and boss, Hentetsu accepted a teaching position at U.A. However, he declined the offer to be a homeroom teacher and instead chose to teach Modern Literature. Hentetsu is eager to share his love for literature with his students while continuing to serve as a pro-hero when duty calls.
