Reikō is a calm and cautious man to the point where he can appear cold. He is extremely dedicated and strict with his students, acting with great intuition and devotion. The kind of person you admire even though you see him speak very little and show his feelings.
Reikō is a true enthusiast of mechanics and more specifically of cars. He never misses a Formula 1 race. He is also a new technology nut but feels terrified and lonely walking in the forest or near bodies of water since he can't swim. In spite of this kind of "phobia", he is still a big guy and a great boxer but he can't hold his liquor.

B I O G R A P H Y
Reikō is the son of a famous racing driver who raised him single-handedly after his wife left them. Reikō looked up to his father and was fascinated by his father's racing profession. However, what he enjoyed more than watching his father race was learning about mechanics from his father's chief mechanic. His admiration for his father and his chief mechanic grew even more when a new invention by the mechanic saved Reikō's father from a serious car accident during a race. This incident motivated Reikō to delve deeper into the study of mechanics and technology. He aspired to become a hero who could create equipment that was both powerful and intelligent enough to protect people from harm. Despite his passion for creating technology, Reikō realized that being a pro hero was not for him. He wasn't someone who preferred to take action; he found more joy in teaching and helping young sidekicks. That's when he applied to U.A. and landed a teaching job in the support department, where he could share his knowledge and passion for mechanics with the next generation of heroes.
