"Well, it took you long enough," Muichiro uttered, glancing at Naruto, who proudly displayed his new headband. He hadn't come over to the compound last night, much to Ginko's delight, as it meant more time with Muichiro.
"Yeah, I passed! Hey, where's your headband? And where's your annoying crow?" He asked, pointing to her forehead.
She looked where he was pointing, then realized. "Oh... Maybe I left it at home. Ginko's probably going to get it for me," she replied nonchalantly.
"Anyways, are you excited to finally find out who's going to be on your team, Mui-chan?" Naruto asked as she settled down next to him.
"No, not really," she said, placing her hands behind her head and leaning back, her expression remaining calm and unreadable.
Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Ginko flapping her wings toward the academy, carrying the dark turquoise headband.
"Caw! Muichiro-sama, I got your headband for you!" Ginko announced, causing the whole class to turn their heads toward Muichiro and Naruto.
"Thanks, Ginko," Muichiro said, reaching out to take the headband.
"Ne~ne, Mui-chan, who do you think will be on your team?" Naruto asked, turning his head to meet her gaze.
"It depends. If you're a sensor, you could be with Hinata or that Inuzuka boy. If you excel in Fuinjutsu, then maybe you'll end up in a different group. But if you're good at ninjutsu and taijutsu, you might be with me," Muichiro explained, glancing at his sparkling eyes.
"I hope I'm with you, Dattebayo!" Just as he finished, two girls burst into the classroom—one with light pink hair and green eyes, the other with light blond hair and blue eyes.
None other than Ino Yamanaka and Sakura Haruno.
They began loudly arguing about who came in first, their voices filling the classroom.
Sakura is way worse than Ino. I might feel sorry for whoever's going to be on a team with her, Muichiro thought, turning back to Naruto, only to find him blushing.
Oh boy, he has it bad, Muichiro mused. It was clear that Naruto had a crush on Sakura—or so she believed. But Sakura only cares about Sasuke.
Just then, she saw Sakura push Naruto away. Well, it looks like the fight for Uchiha love by the fan girls has begun.
"Ugh! What's so special about him anyway?" Naruto exclaimed, frustration evident in his voice. Muichiro shrugged, her expression unchanged. "Beats me."
In an instant, Naruto crouched in front of Sasuke, glaring at him, which drew a reaction from the fan girls, who started shouting at Sasuke to beat up Naruto.
