Prompt: they requested just something soft and fluffy so here's my prompt: Ashton and Michael hanging out backstage before a show and getting teased by Calum & Like even though they just like being together <3

Era: early 2015

"Michael, stop stressing please. I can see it on your face," Ashton chides, following the younger with his eyes as he paces across the floor.

"I'm not stressing, why would you even think that?"

"You've literally been walking in the same pattern for ten minutes, and we both know you can't pay attention to one thing for that long."

This causes Michael to stop in his tracks and cry out a, "Hey!" before shuffling over to the couch, and flipping down on top of Ashton.

He curls up beside him and lays his head on his chest, taking a deep breath and breathing in the scent that was essentially and only Ashton.

"What's going on in your head, then, honey?" Ashton asks, intertwining their fingers and rubbing the top of Michael's hand with the comforting touch of his thumb.

He keeps his eyes on the younger, his mind screaming love, nurture, cherish, comfort all at the same time while he listens to his boyfriend vent.

"It's our first show and we got together over the hiatus between albums and tours and... I just don't want to slip up and out you, or me. But mainly you, 'cause who cares about me."

"I do," Ashton says, instantly taking Michael's cheeks in his hands and looking directly into his green eyes.

Michael giggles and breaks eye contact immediately, a blush rising on his face.

"I knew you couldn't keep eye contact for more that five seconds!"

"Shut up!" Michael breathes out between laughs, playfully smacking the older on the arm.

They enjoy existing together for a while, until Calum comes in.

"Hey there lovebirds," he teases, as he dramatically falls backward onto the couch opposite of the one his other two band mates are sitting on.

"What are you doing back here? Luke and I have been practicing for a while," he asks.

"You and Luke, huh?" Michael interrogates with a shit-eating grin.

"Yeah, what about it?!" Calum exclaims, getting suddenly defensive, but neither Ashton nor his boyfriend miss the way the Maori's face goes red at the mention of him and Luke together.

"Nothing, just thought maybe there was something there..."

"There's not! Absolutely nothing."

"Uh-huh.. sure."

"Well, I'm not the one too invested in my soulmate to actually practice for the show that starts innnn... like, less than twenty minutes," Calum deadpans.

"Soulmates? Did you hear that, babe?" Ashton snickers. Then, just for show, he grabs Michael and starts making out with him, and they both ignore the over-excessive gagging sounds coming from Calum halfway across the room.

"Forget I said anything," the bass player mumbles. "Might as well never speak around you two again."

"No speaking, just kissing," Michael says, but it's partly muffled by Ashton's mouth.

Ashton, who starts kissing with tongue just for the fun of it.

He moves the kiss on to be more passionate, while Calum sits in shock.

"Oh hey, please don't have sex on that couch. Like actually. I don't need to see that with my virgin eyes," Luke says, as he enters the room to two of his best friends sucking each other's faces off. He takes a seat beside Calum and puts his arm around him.

"Sir, yes, sir," Michael says with a salute that emits a giggle from Calum.

He grabs Ashton by the arm and drags him out the door with a wave and a statement of, "We're gonna go practice now, byeeeee!"

"They're totally gonna go have sex in the bathroom," Luke declares

"Oh, for sure," the tanned man deadpans.

sorry it's so short, there was no plot requested so I just did what a did with a short little thing :)
