Lumine POV -
Me and Aether entered the portal, and started looking for a nice world to explore.
"Hey Lumine! Check this out!" Aether said.
I turned towards him and saw that he was poking an extremely small sub-dimension.
"Aether! Don't mess with random things" I said.
"But I've never seen a universe this small. And no. Don't say that it's a sub-dimension. Those can't exist out here" he said.
Huh. He actually makes sense.
I got closer to the... thing, and we decided to enter it.
There was a flash of light, and the next thing I saw was a bunch of red cubes floating in the void.
"Woah. This place is weird" Aether said.
"Don't touch anything" I said.
He agreed for once, and we started exploring the place.

It was barely larger than a city!
"WTF. How the hell did this thing even pop into existence!?" I asked.
"I don't know. But we have to leave quickly. I fell like something's wrong" Aether said.
I agreed, and tried opening a portal.
Nothing happened.
"HUH!?" both of us shouted.
We kept on trying to open portals, but couldn't.
Neither of us noticed that the random cubes were starting to gather near us.
That is, until I accidentally tried to open a portal on one.
It started glowing, and soon thousands of others followed.
"Aether!" I shouted.
He quickly got near me and we started flying away.
Not that there was much area to cover.
We were soon cornered, the cubes started covering us.
We tried to fight back, but all our attacks were simply absorbed.
"Lumi" I heard the muffled voice of Aether as he was soon fully covered.
I tried to get him out, but was covered too.
