"You're staying with your grandfather and that's final, Y/n." Jenny, her mother said. "Why the hell do I have to stay with grandpa? So you can whore around?" Y/n asked. "What did you call me?" Jenny asked. "A whore. Cause that's what you are." Y/n replied, before grabbing her bag and walking out of the house. For the longest time, her mother had been fighting about a lot of things and her mother even hit her. This was the last straw for Y/n. Her mother had been yelling and hitting her every single time. She walked down the street and walked towards the one place she knew she felt safe. Y/n walked down the street, too scared to turn around, knowing that someone would be walking behind her. Once she arrived at the dojo, she looked around and looked at some students. "Can I help you?" A student asked. "I'm looking for John Kreese. I've heard that he might be here." Y/n said. "Sensei Kreese is in the back. Why do you need him?"

The boy asked, before Y/n walked away. She knocked on the door of the backroom and saw her grandfather walk up to the door. "Y/n? What are you doing here?" Kreese asked. "I had another fight with mom and she kicked me out." Y/n said. "She kicked you out? Why? What happened?" John asked. "Mom got angry. She had been drinking again and she kicked me out. So I said she did that so she can whore around and she hit me." Y/n replied. "She hit you? Where are you gonna stay now?" John asked. "I don't know. She said I could stay with you." Y/n replied. "But I understand that you don't have the space." Y/n said. "You're kidding? I have plenty of space in my apartment, angel." John said. "Okay, cool. Do I have to stay here or? Can I join your class until you're finished?" Y/n asked. "You can join the class, angel. You've done karate before. They will be surprised how much you have learned from me when you grew up."

John stated as he took her bag, before they walked out of the back room. "Everyone, get in line." John said. "From this day forward, we have a new student. This is Y/n Kreese." John said. "Is she your daughter, sensei?" A student asked. "She's my granddaughter. So, I want you all to be nice to her. Mrs Nichols, would you be so kind as to show her the dressing room later?" John asked. "Yes, sensei." The girl replied. "I will give you your gi later. Just train in these clothes for now." John said to Y/n. "Yes, sensei." Y/n said, before she walked to stand beside the girl. "I'm Tory." The girl said. "Y/n. Nice to meet you." The day passed and Y/n found herself waiting for her grandfather by the front of the dojo. "We're going to the beach tomorrow. If you want you can join us." Tory said. "Yeah, sure." Y/n replied as John walked up to them. "Good, I'll come and get you in the morning." Tory said. "Okay, thank you." Y/n replied before she followed John out of the dojo.

"What do you wanna eat?" John asked. "Pizza?" Y/n answered. "Alright. Let's go and get some pizza." John said as they walked to his car, before he drove towards Pizza hut. The weeks went by. Y/n was finally used to the whole new environment. Her mother had tried to contact her and even came to the apartment, but John was there to protect the girl. "Pops, I'm going to the mall with Tory. Is that alright?" Y/n asked qs she woke up. "Here, take my card, angel." John said as he gave her his credit card. "Thank you, Pops." Y/n replied, before she walked out of the apartment. She found Tory by the front entrance and smiled. "Hi. I have something to tell you." Tory said as they walked towards the mall. "And that is?" Y/n asked. "Hawk likes you." Tory replied. "No way? Really?" Y/n asked. "Really. He was talking to Kyler about it." Tory answered. "I have to say, I kinda like him as well." Y/n admitted. "Really? You like him?" Tory asked.

"Yeah. He's so badass." Y/n said. "I think you should go on a date with him." Tory said. "He has to ask me out." Y/n said as they walked in the mall. "Y/n, can I ask you something?" Y/n heard Hawk ask. "What's up?" Y/n asked. "Wanna go on a date? To the movies? They're playing a new movie that you might like." Hawk asked. "Yeah, sure." Y/n replied, smiling as she looked at Tory. "Alright. Tomorrow, after training?" Hawk asked. "Sure." Y/n answered. "Alright. I'll see you tomorrow." Hawk said, before walking away.
