TW - Self Harm
Stiles' blue jeep pulls in front of the animal clinic and breaks to an abrupt stop causing Scott to fly forward and hit his head on the window.
"Stiles!!" Scott groans as he holds his forehead. Liam quickly jumps out of the back seat with Alina held in his arms. Stiles holds the door into the animal clinic open for Liam. He rushes in and sets Alina down on the metal table that sits in the center of the room, it shines under the small rays of moonlight that comes in from the windows. Alina lets out a whimper when her body touches the cold metal.
Before Liam could say anything to Alina, Deaton runs into the room. "What happened?" He asked urgently.
"Berserker. She and Mrs. Yukimura were fighting them. They hurt them both badly, but Alina went into were-coyote form and isn't changing back or healing," Scott explains what his mom told him on the phone while they drove from the hospital to the animal clinic.
"And what happened to you?" Deaton asks while he looks down at Alina.
"Me? Oh, bonked my head," Scott waves him off, still rubbing his tender forehead.
Deaton nods hesitantly and begins to examine Alina thoroughly. "She should be healing, but something must be stopping her from doing so. The same thing for why she hasn't turned back into her human form." Deaton turns around to grab something from the shelf behind him. He picks up a glass jar and opens it up, a jar full of some type of gel. He uses his hand to scoop a small portion onto the tips of his fingers. He reaches out to Alina, about to rub it onto her wound, however, Liam stops him.
"What is that?" He asks nervously. "What are you doing?"
"Saving her life. That's what I'm trying to do if you'll let me," Deaton states. Liam looks hesitant before stepping back to let Deaton do his work. Alina doesn't take her doe, green eyes off of Liam as Deaton applies the gel to her wound. It begins to sting and she lets out a small whimper, shutting her eyes tightly together. Liam is about to step back forward to stop Deaton, but Scott pulls him back.
"It's okay. He's helping her," Scott tries to tell his beta. Liam looks from Scott and back to Alina to see her eyes now open again, unshed tears rise to the corner of her eyes. Liam shakes his arm out of Scott's grip and steps back to the table, he looks down at her with an apologetic look, running his fingers through the white fur on the top of her head. Her eyes slowly fluttered shut from the soothing feeling.
"I can't do anything else until she turns back into her human form," Deaton informs them just as Chris, Derek, and Peter walk through the door.
"Scott needs to do what he did to turn Malia back from her were-coyote form," Derek tells them, looking at Scott.
"You mean roar at her?" Scott chuckles a little, thinking he is joking. But, when Scott notices the serious face Derek is giving him, he immediately stops laughing. "You're serious?"
"Yes, it should work the same."
Scott sighs slightly before turning to Alina, he steps forward and slightly nudges her to wake her up. Her eyes slowly open and is a bit startled to see Scott's face in front of her. She is even more startled when his eyes begin to glow a bright vermillion colour. He shows his sharp teeth before growling, Scott then takes a deep breath to let out a ground-shaking roar to which Alina's eyes begin to glow a bright green, a hue with a similar shade of green enveloping her body.
The sound of bones cracking echoes in the eerily silent room. Alina's white fur that covers every inch of her slowly disappears and shows her pale skin complexion instead. Alina slowly sits up from the table now in her human form. Everybody quickly turns away in realization of the girl that sits in front of them is now naked. Derek closes his eyes as he slides his leather jacket off and throws it at Alina. She gratefully takes it and wraps it around her body immediately.
