IN WHICH ; Alina Thomason finds herself trying to help and protect her friends and little brother all while trying to save herself.

She laid in her bed, her white cotton blankets wrapped around her body while she stared off in a daze at the ceiling above. She twists her neck to look at the clock on her nightstand, the sound of ticking echoes through the dark room every second. 2:00am. She let out a huff as her gaze shifts to the single bed on the other side of the room. The small blonde boy snores loudly in his blue plaid sheets.
She sits up on the edge of her bed, and reaches for the drawer of her nightstand. She rummaged through miscellaneous items before finding the familiar orange bottle. Twisting the cap open, she pops a small white pill into her mouth. She swallows it down before debating with herself internally. She sighs, popping two more pills into her mouth.
She does not know why, but she has not been able to have a good sleep all summer long- Ever since her and Liam have stopped talking.
