"What will I do with you?..... stop shaking" He commanded in a low voice and groaned as he saw her glistening eyes
"Do you want me to leave?" She slowly nodded her head and his frown deepened
"That's what you should have just said. By the way, I made breakfast, yours is the one in the green food flask. I made some orange juice, make sure you drink it. Oh less I forget, Stone will come and take some food for Sophia and Desmond. Stone will be the one to bring you to the venue don't bother bringing your car to the place, public transport is more preferable." Without saying another word to her, he left the building in fast and long strides while muttering incoherent curses under his breath.
Moon watched the bulky man walk out of the apartment in hasty footsteps, not sparing her another glance. She grabbed a bottle of water and sat on a stool
"What am I going to do?" The guilt she felt was beyond her control, it poked her in every corner of her body. She has always wanted to get a reaction from him and she did today, but instead of being happy, she felt so remorseful. She sincerely wanted to apologize to him, but the words were not forthcoming, and even though he said he would never hit her, the look on his face told her otherwise, to the extent she couldn't even stand still in front of him.
I am sure he hates me now, she thought to herself, and bit her lower lip with so much force that it caused her wince.
Still in her state of distress, she heard a knock on the front door and immediately jumped from the stool, hoping to see Ocean, but it was Stone who came to collect the food
"Hi" She greeted him with a small smile, and in turn he grinned
"Hi yourself." He patted her head like a puppy before entering the apartment, making her glare at him playfully
"It has been a while since I saw you, but there is nothing to worry about, I know my brother is taking care of you" Stone chimed as he walked straight to the kitchen and picked an apple from the basket on the counter
"what do you mean?"
"C'mon you know what I am talking about, he cooks for you all the time like he is your nanny or something, he is always with you, dude can't even go a day without seeing you." He grinned at her flushed face
"Having said all that, what did you do to him just now?"
"I didn't do anything"
"That's not true, you must have done something or said something to him" He patted the stool beside him as a way of telling her sit
"What did you tell him?" She looked at him as if trying to detect any form of anger, but there was not an ounce of anger, just a simple smile
"I might have said a couple of things to him..."
"like what?"
"I said many things"
"once again, like what?"
"I might have scolded him for entering my house, and-" Stone who was about to bring the apple to his mouth stopped midway, interrupting her at once with his wide eyes
"hold on for a second, who did you scold again?" Moon looked at him confused
"Your brother"
"That's new. Where was he standing?"
"He was actually sitting right there...." She pointed at the stool he was sitting on
"so he was sitting calmly when you were reprimanding him for entering your house?..." He dramatically touched her head and neck
