It'll be okay Nyx, everything will be okay.

The Potter Manor, Christmas break.

THE WIZARDING WORLD was in danger, to say the least. Ever since the Dark Lord had risen, many innocent lives of muggles and half bloods had been taken. Not just that, even the pure bloods who had wanted to protect their families were in need of protection themselves.

Due to the state of everything, the Potters had decided to cancel their Christmas party for the safety of all of their friends and family members.

The family celebrated their Christmas alone, their first one with their two newest additions. Even though it was very fun, the worry they had for each other was too much to handle.

There would be days where the Potter parents wouldn't come home until late at night. Or days where they wouldn't come home at all.

Their kids were worried about the parents, worried that something horrible was bound to happen and they wouldn't be able to do anything to stop it.

In just a few days, their lives had been changed completely. The once happy kids, who'd only worry about their school crushes, were now worried about sharing their last breaths together.

All they had in their minds was, did we live our lives in vain?

"Honestly, do they think we're still kids? They need to stop keeping us in the dark for something so serious like this," said the oldest Potter with a frown.

Phoenyx looked at her brothers and sighed. Everything was so hectic, she didn't know what to do. It was the full moon that night and Remus had strictly told her to stay at home due to all the danger.

But of course, why would she listen?

"Phoenyx, what the hell are you doing here?" Remus said angrily.

"Come on Remus, you know i can't leave you alone at a time like this."

Remus looked at her and put off his urge to scold the girl. He knew that no matter what he'd say, she would still find a way to come to him during times like these.

"How are you feeling?"

"Pretty shit, if i'm being honest," he replied with a painful groan.

For the next few minutes, Phoenyx continued cleaning up the boy's wounds in a gentle manner.

"What's wrong Nyx?"

The girl let out a breath that she had been holding ever since she had gotten to the boy. She was worried, of course she was.

"I-I don't know Rem. Mum and dad, they go out almost everyday and I can't help but feel like something bad is about to happen. I-I'm scared Remus," she said while tearing up.

Looking at Phoenyx, Remus couldn't help but frown. Seeing her be so scared, so vulnerable, it all had made him want to hunt down the Dark Lord himself.

"It'll be okay Nyx, everything will be okay."

Saying those words to the girl, he knew he wasn't so sure about the idea himself. He was really scared too, something he's been trying to hide. His fear was eating him alive, but he had to be strong.

The happiness that once seemed so close in life, was now going farther and farther away. Every night, he couldn't help but think it'd be the last time he'd go to sleep.

The last time he'd see his friends, hold Phoenyx close to his chest, see his parents with bright smiles and overall, live a life he had always dreamt of achieving.

"Did you get the letter from Professor Dumbledore?" he asked while wincing.

"I did actually, i'm quite nervous though. What do you think it's about?"

On Christmas day, Dumbledore had sent letters to his most trustworthy students. All it said in them was for the students to come to Hogwarts a few days early and to remain safely in the premises of their own homes.

Naturally, they had all gotten worried thinking that after all these years of pranks and mischief, it was finally time for them to get expelled.

"Phoenyx, Remus! I-It's Regulus, he's gone."
