HOGWARTS.
"THEY'RE HERE."
It was finally the time that all the Wizards and Witches had been preparing so fearlessly for. The Dark Lord was in Hogwarts, and he was there to fight.
"We have to come back as 5, okay?" Phoenyx said to the boys.
Peter Pettigrew wasn't with them as his parents were severely sick with dragon pox. Although they had hoped the boy would be there, right by their sides.
Using the floo network, they all travelled to Hogwarts hand in hand. When it was time for Regulus Black to show up, Phoenyx told them that he wasn't coming.
"What?" James asked her in disbelief.
"Trust me James, he's going to be okay."
He was about to reply back to her when all of a sudden, they could hear a loud bang. Running towards the courtyard, they couldn't help but gasp. The once beautiful place, that used to be filled with students day and night, was completely destroyed.
"Watch out!"
The four casted spells after spells trying to protect themselves. At one point, they could hear the booming voice of the one person who had wrecked their lives completely.
"Join me, oh superior ones," he said mockingly.
At the front of the yard, where the students would often hang out was Voldemort. By his side, you could see two people with masks covering their faces and hoods across their heads.
What was scary, wasn't Voldemort himself. But there, coming out from their back, was a huge snake. Phoenyx looked at it with wide eyes.
The last Horcrux.
Regulus had told her about the snake very mildly. Looking at it in person, Phoenyx couldn't help but worry for the young boy.
One by one, all the death eaters started to gather around their Dark Lord. At one side was the Order of Phoenix and the defenders of Hogwarts. And on the other side were the people who believed so much in their superiority and blood purity.
"I'll give you another chance. Join me while you still can."
For the next few seconds, no one moved. When Sirius looked at all of the death eaters, he noticed two figures staring at him with hatred and disappointment. The boy could feel himself tear up at the sight of his parents.
"Tom Riddle, oh how horrible fate can be. However, i'm afraid that you will not be going anywhere, anytime soon," Dumbledore said with a smile.
At that moment, they heard a scream. And then, all of a sudden, the huge snake was bleeding all throughout its body.
"Avada Kedavra!"
Some of the death eaters started casting spells once more while the others, such as Orion and Walburga, apparated away with wide fearful eyes.
"Phoenyx!" Remus said with a worried voice.
The girl had disappeared and he could not see her anywhere. He was about to go and search for her when him and his friends started getting attacked left and right.
The three Marauders fought the death eaters as hard as they could. At one point, it was one death eater against the three of them.
They could feel themselves growing tired, but they could not stop, they had to keep going.
The death eater himself could see his body growing weak. Voldemort was not there to protect him anymore, so he tried to escape.
However, while he was trying to run away, he could feel his hood fall off his face and his robe tear apart.
And when he raised his head to look at the three boys, he couldn't help but fall on his knees for forgiveness from his best friends.
"Peter?"
