Kentrell pov

Jazz just left for a family emergency in north Carolina and love stayed because she got school. But my mom came and got her cuz she got lani. Leylah came in here with tears rolling down her face.

Me. Say what happened?

Leylah. My stomach hurts

She laid on the bed

Me. What did you eat?

Leylah. What you bought me.

Me. Well go sleep it off

She got up going out the room. I looked at the tv. It's 4 days until school start. I started dozing off watching this tv show.

1am

I woke up to screaming I jumped up getting a gun out the safe running to leylah room. I saw her standing by her bed. And she has blood on the back of her pants. She's just starting at the blood on her bed

Me. What happened?

I put my gun in my pocket walking over there. She looked at me

Leylah. I think I'm dying

Tears rolled down her face. I think this her period. I went to call my momma and she said she's sending teelee. I went back in leylah room seeing her still standing there crying. Shit I just stood there to. I ain't never have to deal with something like this. I heard the door bell. I went to open the door seeing teelee. I let her in taking her in leylah room. She sat this bag on leylah nightstand and started talking to her.

Leylah

Teelee. Calm down it's just your period

I looked at her confused

Teelee. It's where you bleed every month. Up to 7 days.

Me. Does it hurt everytime?

Teelee. It might, take a shower and then i'll show you how to put a pad on

I nodded going to take a shower. When I finished I dried off.

Teelee. Seat on the toilet.

I sat down

Teelee. Put your underwear on but don't pull it up.

I put them on then she got I guess a pad out the pack. She put took it out

Teelee. First you put it on your underwear.

She put it on there

Teelee. Then take this paper off and put the flaps down. And that's it.

Oh that look easy. I got up pulling it up flushing the toilet. I wrapped a towel around me. Going to get boxers and sports bra. I put  that one in the closet putting my socks on. And dad put a new headset on my bed. I laid down

Teelee. This is a heating pad. If you put this on your stomach it'll feel better. And if you put it on your back it might help to.

I nodded

Teelee. You gotta change your pad every 2 hours. But if it get full before those 2 hours change it

I nodded

Teelee. No sweet stuff and no cold stuff. It will make your stomach hurt.

I nodded

Teelee. And it's best to stay active while your on to.

I nodded

Teelee. Ok I'm leaving now

I nodded she got my cloths out the bathroom leaving. I turned over going to sleep.
