Wednesday's pov:

Currently I'm holding a seance in hopes of communicating with Goodie. At least I was until SOMEONE decided to walk in and disrupt.
-"sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt your..do I even wanna know?"
Enid says, closing the door as she enters. God how can one person be so stupidly annoying.
-"I was attempting to reach an ancestor of mine until I was so rudely interrupted"
-"I'm so sorry, I didn't know I was interrupting anything"
Ugh she does seem to feel genuinely sorry for her actions so I can't be mad.
-"oh! Have you thought about using one of MY scented candles?"
She says with a smile.
-"the aroma of steak tar tar is to DIE for!"
Before I can say anything I notice a piece of paper slid through the bottom of the door.
-"perhaps that's from your ghost?"
Humorous.
-"I doubt she communicates in magazine cut outs"
I say looking at the note. The note reads:

"If you want answers, meet inside Crackstones crypt, midnight."

Maybe this would answer my questions on the fire wording from a few days ago.
-"I'll be leaving now"
I say, turning to exit.
-"I'm coming too!"
-"huh? Why? It's way past curfew"
-"true..but what can I say? You've been rubbing off on me"
Enid replies with a slight smile. I feel my face start to heat up against my will.
-"fine. You can tag along"
-"yay!"

Enid's pov:

This is gonna be fantastic! I've been spending the past almost week trying to plan this party for Wednesday. It's her 16th birthday and I really wanna make it special for her. As we get closer to Crackstones crypt I know I have to act scared to really seal the deal on this.
-"Wednesday this is so freaking creepy, can we turn back?"
She turns to look at me confused and annoyed.
-"you INSISTED on tagging along with me. I was fine on my own"
She replies and then turns to continue walking. Well she didn't have to be so rude about it but this'll all be worth it when I see her face at that party. I feel my heart flutter as I think about it. Just like always there's a smell.
-"ew..what died?"
I ask in genuine disgust.
-"smells like childhood"
She replies bluntly.
-"come on"
She says as she leads the way in.
-"Actually why don't I just stay out here?"
I ask in a panicky voice. Wednesday without hesitation then closes the door behind her. Ok...so if we were in a real situation she'd just leave me? That wasn't like the Wednesday I had imagined...

Wednesdays pov:

Yes I'm being colder to Enid than usual but that's because I've realized she's been tremendously holding me back on figuring out this whole monster situation. Not on purpose but still. Or..maybe on purpose? I can't rule anyone out as a suspect yet. Just then I hear the door reopen behind me, it's Enid.
-"there's no sign of anything. I'm going further to investigate"
I say walking away.
-"ok, I'll keep look out"
She whispers from behind. Suddenly something doesn't feel right. I quickly turn behind me but there's nothing but darkness.
-"Enid?"
I say in a shaky voice. I hear a whisper noise.
-"whoever you are show yourself."
I command calmly.
-"surprise!"
I hear a group of people exclaim as they come out from behind Crackstones tomb. I just watch as my school pears emerge. They then start singing happy birthday to me. Fuck. I then see Thing crawl up on a short pillar with a little birthday hat on. Enid approaches with a cake. It has a little grim reaper with a bright pink balloon. I shine my flashlight at Thing.
-"I should've known you were behind this"
-"I thought my cake design was pretty inspired"
Xavier says interrupting.
-"don't blame Thing, the whole party was my idea  so was the little pink balloon on your cake"
She says pointing at it and smiling. I need answers, this is serious why does no one understand that!?

Enid's pov:

Ok maybe the party was a mistake? I just thought everyone liked to be celebrated on their birthdays  but yeah I guess Wednesday is different. This is my fault though, I shouldn't have assumed. I notice Wednesday shine her flashlight over to a wall and she begins to walk over to it.
-"fire will rain"
She says as she reads some wording carved into the wall.
-"a-are we still doing a party?"
Ajax asks. Suddenly Wednesday's head jerks back and she falls to the ground. I know she has visions but holy shit is she ok!? I don't know what this is I've never seen it!
-"Wednesday!"
I yell.
-"here someone fucking help me! I'll get her back to your room"
Xavier says as Ajax helps him pick her up.

Wednesday's pov:

I wake up in a vision. I'm outside the school gates when suddenly Goodie appears.
-"my mother says you can help me control my visions"
I say walking up to her.
-"there is no controlling your raging river. You must learn to navigate it without drowning"
She replies.
-"to stop Crackstone, this place you must seek."
She says looking past the gates.
-"you always speak In riddles?"
I asks annoyed. She then turns to face me as though offended.
-"do you always seek easy answers? The path your heading down is a dark and lonely one"
-"is that supposed to scare me?"
-"it should"
She say's disappointedly as she fades away. I wake up back in the dorm room on my bed.
-"Wednesday!"
Enid yells as she rushes over.
-"are you ok? Was that a vision or is something wrong?"
She questions.
-"I'm fine."

The next day I start sketching out the fence I had seen in my vision. At first I had thought it was the school until I looked past it. Thing then hops on my shoulder.
-"carful, that's my cold shoulder."
-"don't blame Thing. The party was my idea"
Enid says, butting in.
-"oh then you want to take his place on my bad side?"
She rolls her eyes.
-"can I at LEAST get some kudos on pulling one over on you"
I hit my hand on the notebook I was sketching on in slight anger. I think for a moment.
-"I'll admit that was impressive"
I say, nodding my head slightly.

Enid's pov:

-"oh but there is one more surprise.. sorry"
I say remembering the gift Wednesdays parents had told me to hide. Thing crawls into the closet and drags it out. Wednesday stands up from her desk and kneels down beside thing. Wednesday opens the box and examines its contents.
-"they asked us to hide it before they left on parent's weekend"
I say as she opens it some more. She opens up the box inside and there I see two frozen dead squirrels.
-"eww that is so gross"
-"I would've preferred live squirrels"
She says as dull as ever.
-"well since your still excepting giftsss"
I say running over to my side of the room to grab the present I made her. God I hope she likes it, I made it specially for her. I hand her the gift and she stares down at it.
-"do ya like it?"
She looks at me confused as she holds the gift.
-"it's a snood silly!"

Wednesday's pov:

Enid seems very happy about the gift she's given me but I can't even fake enthusiasm without knowing what it is.
-"I made it in your signature colors"
She says, clearly proud of herself.
-"and the best part? I have one too!"
She says pulling a pink colorful "snood".
-"we can wear them together! To class"
She says putting it around her neck. Ohh so it's similar to a scarf. I look back down at mine.
-"oh..Enid this is far too unique to wear to something like class"
I say in an attempt to spare her feelings.
-"I suggest we were them for a special occasion...like a funeral"
-"oh"
Her smile fades a bit but she's still cheery like normal. This is my best attempt at being nice, it really is a sweet gesture but I don't think I'll be wearing this any time soon. It's soft I'll admit, but it just reminds me of Enid and I don't need yet another distraction.
