A closeup of her right eye suddenly opens up, twitching as she comes to terms with her current situation. Bubbles escape from her mouth as she struggles to get upright in the water. She activates her Maiden powers. The screen goes black, only Cinder gasping for breath is heard.
She is next seen crawling out of the pool of water onto the shore of an underground cave. Cinder holds her hand out and tries to activate a small flame in her hands, but it dies out quickly.

Cinder grunts in frustration, slamming her fist to the ground, unknowingly opening up an exit to the cave. She looks up to see light pouring through the crack as well as the sound of howling wind. Cinder then looks up to notice the Vault under Haven Academy where she fought against Raven.
Izolatte: So you finally thawed out.
Cinder looks up to see a beaten Izolatte sitting on a rock by the edge of the water with his sword stabbed into the ground next to him.
Cinder: W-wha... What happened?
Izolatte: You lost, we both did... As expected the Sun Mark was stronger than I remembered. And you, were blinded by your greed and selfishness.
Cinder then gets up and stumbles towards Izolatte forming a sword as she aims the blade at him weakly.
Cinder: You don't know me, I don't need to hear criticism from someone like you.
Izolatte: I know more than you think. I thought that you were just skilled enough to manage to survive a battle against the Sun, but I can see it was only a stroke of good luck.
Cinder keeps her blade aimed at him but couldn't move out of exhaustion. Her body started to tremble.
Cinder: I've been through enough pain to be able to survive more than a few battles. You know nothing about what I survived from.
